Re: Asante
I agree that with hindsight this signing was daft but he's on a contract and if he's genuinely injured why would we play him. We have no idea what he's like around the team, how motivated he is or how good he might be.

I'm sure we'll get a better tune out of him than Asante!

Re: Boost The Budget January 2024
Well the preview says Asante is expected to be fit but more worryingly Barrow has been ill. At least there's a thorough list of who's injured/ill/on loan. If only our strikers could strike....

Maybe they're short of players at the back. He's not been playing and I don't think being on the bench is "frozen out". Hopefully he'll get some game time and come back ready to challenge for his place?

Re: Boost The Budget January 2024
What an absolutely fantastic effort!! So proud of our fan base, regulars and irregulars alike. Considering the calendar year we've had and the concerns we'd "stalled" at 16k it's brilliant. Over to you Mr Watson-spend it wisely and now you know what fan owned really means.

I absolve you from any liability. Its all on me! It's Buxton at Blackwell, couldn't do Hereford. My youngest has watched Darlo for over 30 years but it's his first trip to Blackwell Meadows and only my second.

Re: TRANS PENNINE EXPRESS SALE
Thanks for this. We've decided to make a rare trip to a home game v Hereford. I accidentally paid for 6 return tickets (I wanted 3) that were £12. I just couldn't remove them so now we're asking our mates to be glory hunters for a day!

He was a fantastic keeper. Hicker from the Midlands sponsored him. Used to meet up with him regularly and we travelled to Carlisle away together. Andy left him tickets for the game. Not seen him for many years.

Re: Southport
I read the preview for Southport. No mention of Siddik or Ngandu so we wondered why they'd been left out. Now I read re Tamworth that Siddik will have a fitness test on a knee injury and Ngandu is back from illness. It's not that difficult is it?

Re: Southport
I too was impressed with Watson's responses not pulling any punches and honest. Asante, Nelson, Curry (and Hazel) can run around all they want but if the build up and creativity isn't there we're not going to score goals. It's not an uphill task, it's mountainous but we won't give up on them will we?

Re: Southport
Personally I couldn't fault the effort and the two goals were both because they were first to the ball after they hit the woodwork. Well done to the 78 travellers and good to catch up with the usual suspects. Mr Watson certainly has his work cut out. How did that ball stay out during the goalmouth s...

Decent saving on pre booked tickets for tomorrow night. If we all chucked it in to BtB could be a few hundred quid?

Well done Rob and co. Hopefully you made a decent amount for your efforts. I didn't think the tickets were in sequence as one of mine was 9,884,288,466. If you'd sold that many we'd be building a great stadium and be on target for Europe!!!

Re: Good luck Steve Watson
I'm struggling with not knowing what we're paying out and to who. We "parted company" with Gowling but was that mutual, was there a clause in his contract or is he getting a pay out? Likewise is Armstrong getting his full salary for the year? Is Asante really on a grand a week and not even on the pi...

Well said Dodger. After all OUR efforts I think I'd find it impossible to walk away. It's f...
