Re: Oldham
Pretty much that the style of football over there is utterly horrid now, and he doesn't engage or really involve himself with the fans at all. Some reservations over his transfers as well I think - strengthening areas which didn't need more bodies while ignoring others that needed sorting. I didn't...

Re: Davey has
I think you find that Chris Lumsdon is under contract as well. Seriously? If he is back fit he may well be able to do a job in the Conference. However, I would imagine he's on a decent wage and if his injury problems aren't fully behind him he will take up a chunk of the budget that someone...

Re: Davey has
I think White and Miller would be a good partnership in the BSP, and avoids major changes to the CB positions. Yes he will be a year older but it doesn't necessarily mean he will suddenly become slower, he's a professional footballer, and with the right conditioning and pre-season training there is ...

Re: Davey has
I think Whitey has another good season in him especially at BSP level. As for Giddings and Dempsey both seem to have lost interest since SS departed and I would be inclined to release both.

Re: Who do you want to get promoted to the Conference
Workington or Fleetwood from BSN & Bath City from BSS.
Workington or Fleetwood relatively easy to get to. As for Bath City, been before nice place & good for a weekend stop over (not so good if its a middle of winter mid-weeker! )

Re: serious question
If it ever happened then I would have no problem with us being in it, we have as much right to play in the top division as are the likes of Burnley, Blackburn, Liverpool etc., so long as its all done without having to put the club finances in jeopardy just to reach it. What I would be annoyed with w...

Re: The Blue Square Bet Premier
we managed to lose 1-0 away at droylesden when they only won 6 games all season We already know what that's like, albeit it was last season and with a stronger squad  Do not want them to go up through the BSN playoffs, they don't call it the Butchers Arms for nothing, don't want to go back th...

Re: New Shirts
I'll definitely get one next season - have the club released a sample of the away kit yet, as they did with the home kit the other week? They had the new away kit sample on show at the release of the new shirt sponsor dinner last month. You could also look at Redditch United's home shirt - as that ...

Finally a chance to look to next season
Relegation was all but confirmed way way before tonight and although it is a very bitter pill to swallow, I've been ready for it for a while and I'm glad we've been put out of our misery. It is now a chance to look to next season and I believe there is alot to look forward to - if the way Davey has ...

The Premier league is not the best league in the world, its fuelled by debt. Infact the whole Champions League competition is basically a competition between the most debt-ridden clubs in Europe.

I just hope Tadge reads these boards - would be absolutely hallarious to see this happen!  What should be funny about him reading a messageboard ? :D Well if he were to read this thread and stay on.....the consequences would be halarious, with some of the "If he stays on....." lines :th...

Re: Purcell only to talk to Darlington
If we do manage to sign him I'll eat DOTU's leg, Hilly's hat and my own scrotum with a nice caesar salad on the side and a glass of merlot to wash it down. If he stays after that then I will eat my right leg with a sprinkling of salt. I just hope Tadge reads these boards - would be absolutely halla...

Re: BBC Radio Smoggies/Tees
Shame SETANTA Sports went bust, they showed Blue Square Prem, North & South matches. Was quite good for keeping an eye on the Conference, just our luck that the brief TV coverage of that league has gone when we're dropping in.

Re: Alan White - should we try to sign him?
Why is it fashionable to knock Ian Miller, the lad who stuck with us in the shambles of a pre-season, took the captain's armband to become an articulate spokesman for the club and has worked his b......s off in front of some of the worst goalkeepers and behind some of the most ineffective defensive...

Well I'm hoping we look towards a Doncaster template and come back up with some momentum, always the optomistic approach! The Conference will be hard, no doubt, but its the same whatever league you play in when you've jsut been relegated, its about how hard we prepare for next season and a...

Probably the part time supporters they've picked up since their promotion to the PL - I know the scoreline isn't great but a great example of part time supporters mind - should be grateful for being in the PL in the first place!!

It wouldn't, but I wouldn't feel like I was having the piss taken. I'm not saying Darlo specifically take the piss, the game itself and what its become totally takes the piss out of fans. Football is ridiculously expensive. £18 to see a game in the basement is extortionate, £18 to see non league is...

I can't see us splashing too much cash even if the budget is competitive, we've been down that route before and look where it has taken us. Anyway, Purcell has proven himself at least at L2 level and I think its fair to say he's earn't the right to try and better his career further. Unless he has so...

Re: west stand closed again
Agreed if it is part of running the club sustainably then so be it, but they need to be honest and up front about it. It is important supporters should know as if this is the plan for next season then this directly effects West Stand season ticket holders. As part of relocating West Stand season tic...
