Re: Erico Sousa

Is it just me or is anyone else thinking that this rebuild is not going well? We have lost a lot of talent this close season and looking at the squad I'm not yet convinced the signings we have made will adequately replace those that have left, never mind the number we have on the books currently. Pe...

Re: Local'ish clubs released lists

A different approach to the rebuild than I had initially expected. I'm a little intrigued as to whether this is going to turn out to be a better squad or not and obviously time will tell. Interesting to see that the players to come in so far like Mondal, Griffiths, Beeden, Taylor and (possibly) Hope...

Interesting. Would love for it to be Wheater.
I wouldn't be surprised, I think there is a high chance.

Re: Boost the budget 2021

It's also worth considering that sadly over the past few months we have lost some fairly prominent supporters and we won't know whether they put a significant amount into the BtB if they did. :( Unfortunately, my personal circumstances and finanacial priorites have got a lot tighter compared to this...

Re: George Reynolds - Time to let it go

I think it's fair to say the Reynolds era was a chapter in the whole history of Darlington FC and however controversial it was, it has shaped the club and to an extent has to be acknowledged. Just as with all the events previous to Reynolds and all those after. My opinion of the Reynolds era is that...

Re: 6 players leave

It's going to be a busy summer trying to sign better players than the ones that have departed - I'd say Campbell will be the biggest void to fill so far and it remains to be seen who else departs. However, it may not be as bad as it seems, there are likely to be many players culled from higher up as...

Ricky Sbragia had a brief loan spell with us at the back end of his playing career and managed Sunderland in the Premier League 08/09 season after Roy Keane resigned. He was better known for building a reputation in charge of Man Utds reserve team late 90/00s.

Re: Poolies Feeling The Pinch

Back to the original conversation about Poolies. It may sound nasty but I hope it all comes down over there. I'm normally quite pleased to see any north east sides succeeding and would love a time where we are all doing well at higher levels. However, once they allowed RS to get involved after the w...

Re: Darlington V Hornchurch Trophy Quarter Final

I do have more hope of better things and progress under AA but I think one major thing that let's down his team's is consistency. I think at Blyth it was the same to an extent and it does seem to have happened to us over the past season and what ever this season has been. We either win or lose, with...

Re: Season null and voided

Simply should not have included a restart for any non-league football from Step 1 to grassroots. There were always going to be too many variables at this level e.g number of part time or full time teams, fan-owned or privately funded, access to Covid testing etc. It should have just been Premier Lea...

How can we be expelled when there is no football below the Conference North/South? I'm glad we are sticking to our guns over this, plus the basic moral issues of playing as this pandemic continues - it's highlighting how broken the football pyramid is, the selfish and the mismanagement of the league...

If the season is ended, what happens to ST holders & 500 club members. It will put the club in a very difficult position. Would any/ many fans want their money back. Think at this level and below the vast majority if not all fans regard the need of their club as being bigger than theirs. A more con...

The Europa hooped version at the moment is not that shabby (I've tried inserting the link below). Re: Away to Bristol rovers

I know it didn't effect the Swindon match as he was cup tied and always was going to be in this season's FA cup run, but today may of been a match where we needed an outlet like Sousa. I thought we were lacking that bit of quick forward attacking play to turn them around and may be we have become to...
