A "director of football" is surely daft. If you have someone overseeing how you play and taking care of player movements then you may as well bin the manager's job - thereby making the DOF the manager.

I agree, a Director of Football is stupid at this level of football and with our resources.

I am not convinced by Mr Hazel. He seems to give his all for a while, then can go quickly off the boil. The type of player who loves to be loved, but can quickly fall out of love as well. Let's hope this does not play out like a Greek Tragedy. I know signing players must be hard given our position in the League etc but we need players who can perform at this level. This seems yet another gamble. Happy to be proved wrong.
