That is the best interview I have heard from a Darlo manager in a long long time.
To be fair after AA and Gowling anyone would sound good!

Pleased with this. Lets see if the players react on Saturday.
I agree this is positive. At least we've now got someone with experience in this league.

A "director of football" is surely daft. If you have someone overseeing how you play and taking care of player movements then you may as well bin the manager's job - thereby making the DOF the manager.
I agree, a Director of Football is stupid at this level of football and with our resources.

We shouldn’t be left to assume that.
I’ve read that he did take training

All Hazel needed was a big lad alongside him with some ability to keep at least one defender busy. We have replaced him with someone who could have been that man but needs someone like Hazel alongside him….. And does he have that at Boston..........if so why are the goals not flowing? Re: Boxing Day at Scarborough

I am not convinced by Mr Hazel. He seems to give his all for a while, then can go quickly off the boil. The type of player who loves to be loved, but can quickly fall out of love as well. His love affair with Darlington certainly did not last the test of time. I think that is a fair assessment. Des...

Re: Boxing Day at Scarborough

Re our forward line, I was just reading the comments from the Boston fans about Jacob Hazel and he seems transformed from the player that JG got shot of to be replaced by Asante. To a man the fans are gushing in their praise of Hazel, saying he's the best signing they've made in ages, makes them ti...

Re: Who next?

I think Gray could work again and he might have a bit more humility about him this time - which could work in our favour. His fall was more rapid than his rise. He has been out of management for 5 years now so why has no one else employed him? Having said that, he did a lot for us when we reformed ...

With a fair chunk of the season still to go, we should easily smash Staunton's record of players used in a season. I think we have used thirty one so far and counting.....

His team talk the other day, with the f word every other word was embarrassing. Not that I'm a puritan, but if you're swearing every other word, you're not communicating effectively.
JG's team talk, am I missing something here?

Cardo, 21, joined Palace at the age of 15, and played for their Academy and Under 21 teams. He also played for the Palace first team in friendly matches against Liverpool and Manchester United -- Liverpool had Mo Salah in their team -- and made his full debut for them in the EFL Trophy against Swin...

Means another long distance midweek trip in Jan/Feb, but at least gives time to get players fit, and add more midfielders to the squad.
Come on we only have 9 midfielders in the squad at present, need two more to complete a team. (By the way that is tongue in cheek!)

We've signed a player and there are scant details about him, his background, his role, his style, his qualities, his experience, his hopes etc. That's not being negative, it's a statement of fact for fans who like to know a bit about new faces. This is a really critical time for the club and any mo...

No interview with the new player and no mention of him in Josh's interview for Banbury. No wonder no one seems that interested in this signing. Let's hope this does not play out like a Greek Tragedy. I know signing players must be hard given our position in the League etc but we need players who can perform at this level. This seems yet another gamble. Happy to be proved wrong.
