Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll
If we go down and it’s looking very likely now than any talk about a new stadium is nonsense, Blackwell will be quite adequate with lower crowds and far less away fans and reduced commercial revenue. We have a decent budget and going down probably one of the best budgets will see us favourites for ...

Re: Asante
Looking forward to today's preview "Asante will have a fitness test on a groin injury"! Bang on the money, the preview says exactly that. This was a quote back in July after he underwent 'minor surgery' on this groin injury: When asked how long he is set to be out for, Webb replied: “It will be a f...

Re: Asante
Armstrong won't be getting paid for the entire length of his contract. There will have been a notice period, something like 3 months, and he'll get paid for that.

Re: Newport County AFC
I was reading about Newport County AFC and their renaissance today. There were battles again the Welsh FA who initially insisted on them reforming in the Welsh leagues, followed by having to play their home games in Gloucestershire when they joined the English pyramid. Eventually they won a High Co...

I suppose we'll have to get used to it, there will be no streaming in the NPL nest season.

Re: Darlington V Scunthorpe
Is this game being streamed live? I've bought my pass and the game doesn't appear on the NLTV schedule? It was in the schedule until we’ll after 7pm. I too paid for a pass after I saw the team announced on social media. I assumed that the announcement of the team meant it is definitely going ahead ...

Re: New leisure facility at Faverdale
Generating income from 4G pitches was pretty central to the plan of how to pay off the loan required to build a new stadium. I'm sure someone might believe the plan but not sure if many investors will.

New leisure facility at Faverdale
Anyone know anything about the new leisure facility planned for Faverdale? Was a post about on TheTinShed and also on the property developers website. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7150179893484351488/ Looks an awful lot like those pitches would scupper our hope of making mone...

Re: v Tamworth
Relegation is absolutely nailed on, I know people want to believe but we are seriously awful and have been for a whole year. I'm struggling to see who we'd want to keep for next season. We have a squad of players where hardly any of them look good enough to play at this level. Better to use the 40K ...

Re: Southport
A point would be good away at a ground we always struggle at, a strong defensive display will be needed, if Southport are as direct as used to be. A point would be a good result under normal circumstances, but are you expecting us to beat Tamworth and Scunthorpe instead? We need wins, and if we don...

Re: Darlington V Scarborough
There needs to be a complete rebuild, from the players to the staff and the board imho. The club has malaise that has set in and been allowed to grow deep into every fibre, and leadership has allowed that. In the past 4 years are we any better off than we were before? On the field definitely not, o...

Re: Who next?
Fenton was a previous Hodgy signing…him to manage with DH as DoF? Fenton's Blyth contract runs until next summer and he would have to be bought out as they've stuck him on gardening leave. Some Blyth fans think he's going back to Shields and some speculating he may be coming here. Yep, means that w...

Re: Who next?
If this is true our board may as well resign too  Absolute laughing stock I disagree. If people are happy to appoint someone even on an interim who’s not managed for almost two decades then I’m done with this club The truth is that the general casual fan will be far more engaged with the...

Re: Who next?
The truth is that the general casual fan will be far more engaged with the popularist story of ‘4th time a Quaker’ and a former local hero than a Josh Gowling type. It’s a feel good story. Hodgy would add far more to the gate and get a lot more patience from the fans. If we were appointing a manage...

Re: Who next?
Martin Gray can come back and bring along his mate Raj Singh, who having eventually disposed of Hartlepool, will have the money to invest in the club giving us a record budget which AA can come back and spend by giving Andrew Nelson a new 10 year contract.

Re: Gowling has to go tonight
We'll have to pay a severance to the current manager and staff, as well as to some of his terrible signings. Do we know that though, for sure? Have you ever wondered why the terms of J.G's contract remain so secret? Or why he even got the job when possibly, there might have been better candidates? ...

And who do you suggest we get to replace DJ or are you going to volunteer. These stupid comments actually get worse after every defeat. Some on here need to learn about finance.. We are where we are and have to live with it, the alternative is we could get in a new manager and pay for three manager...

Re: Hodgy
A lot of the phoenix clubs or clubs that were demoted have bounced back and climbed up the divisions, so I suppose we must be one (or maybe the only one) of the few who have actually stalled and then started going down again. Yeh the only one. - Bury got beaten to promotion by a Vauxhall Motors tea...

Never thought I’d say this, but if we do get relegated, I would find it hard to justify renewing my season ticket which I’ve had for 35 years . Re: Hodgy
It's not really possible to build a 5,000 capacity ground at BM because of the pipe. It'd also look stupid if we did somehow scrape it together. But if a tangent it is but we know it involves knocking down / replacing the clubhouse. I think cobbled is a fair point though. Bristol Rovers feels prett...
