Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
Just want to comment on how much of a Grade A c*** Josh Falkingham is by the way. The little squirt was even worse with his diving than he was at our place, a total cheat and most of Harrogate were the same, went down like flies at minimal contact. They do it all the time apparently, and Falkingham ...

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
Defended well first half, Leon poor for the first, defence all at sea for the second, and again poor closing down for the third. No complaints about the result as they deserved the win, far quicker than us in midfield which was as big a concern as our second half defensive collapse.Wheatley was way o...

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
With Salford wobbling a bit, they will be up for it without doubt so this will be a tough game and we will have to dig in probably more than we did on boxing day.Ainge being out is a bonus, Beck will come in but need to stop crosses coming in from there wide men.A draw would be good, 3 points fantas...

I am sure Gary Ventrass is the groundsman, sure he was ours at some point.LoidLucan wrote:I presume he must be ahead of the four assistant directors of football, six coaches, four goalkeeper coaches, three scouts, three assistant kitmen and the partridge in a pear tree

Re: Darlington FC V Harrogate
Need to watch Falkingham with his diving, just brush him and he goes down like a ton of bricks, noted for it apparently.Sounds like Weaver is making excuses, no doubt they will be fired up so we will have to be exactly the same but with a big travelling support hopefully we can get a result, if we d...

Not sure if Tommy has closed the door on any further signings but just feel we are one striker short as we only have Reece and Harvey as recognised strikers.Ashley Chambers from Nuneaton would be a good shout and not sure if we enquired about him.Perhaps a loan signing from the Boro ? Re: Darlington FC V Harrogate
Agreed with comments about Falkingham, the little squirt was an absolute cheat, just breath on him and he goes down.Where were their fans, probably about 100, if we were in that position 1000 would of gone to Harrogate, in fact we will have 500 at the game on New Years Day. Always get a few idiots Pete, every club has them, but we got a good fee for him and Styche is a better striker IMO so a good deal for us.Darlo_Pete wrote:I was a tad disappointed when Beck got booed when he came on late in the game, he deserved a better reception than that.

Re: Darlington FC V Harrogate
Thought all the back 4 were excellent, Heaton was superb alongside Gary Brown, Leon added strength and Dom Collins slotted in very well at RB.Really like the young keeper who gave confidence to the defencelessness and Styche and Thommo were excellent. The main thing for me was the 433 formation with ...

I was thinking Gary Brown for RB as well, like that team but Portas for Gillies would be my preference in a 433.

We will just have to have different views. May not be the right players or formations but think they will get there in the end (of co...

Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
To me, having three weeks without a match, time that should have been used drilling the players and making them compact and organised, only to come out with an experimental formation, making a double substitution after 20 mins and shipping 3 goals to one of the worst teams in the division, reeks of...

We are no doubt in a relegation battle but I believe we have to get behind Tommy and Alan, its just too easy to say get rid - who would come in ? He's brought this all upon himself and therefore deserves no sympathy. I've heard that when York play at BM at the start of January, the area around the York dugout is going to be cordoned off, to protect Gray from Darlo fans. No sympathy Pete, has brought all this aggro on himself with his attitud...

Drove past Matlock Town's ground today. Said to the boy 'Son, we'll be playing there next season'. Not feeling too positive right now. Got to stay positive Adam, I think on Saturday Tommy probably thought we would easily get the 3 points hence the very attacking lineup but probably underestimated G...

Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
Totally agree H1987, but assuming we don't bring anyone in we have to defend more in numbers than what we are doing and look to get some ugly 1-0 wins as we are well capable of nicking a goal with the forwards we have. Not all doom and gloom when we look at it.

Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
How do we begin leaking goals and somehow produce a rare clean sheet.....simple.Have a back 4 who stay in their own half and concentrate on defending.....forget going forward.Have 3 midfielder, 2 in a defensive role to protect the back 4 and the remaining midfielder to be more attack minded. That lea...
