Re: Chester Football Club & Stevenage Borough Football Club
I don't have a problem with AP posting this sort of stuff. He's a genuine football fan taking an interest in everything going on in the football world plus a very loyal Darlo fan (unlike some on here!)! A bit of banter here or there yes but constant digs are a bit boring now.

Re: I am getting sick of this happening!
Hull are the ones that I have a similar feeling about. 02/03 season they were with us in League 2(Div 3), I remember us beating them 2-0 in one of our final matches at Feethams (goals from Newey and Conlon if I remember rightly). Anyway since then they have moved to a brand new stadium (like ourselv...

Re: Released players
Keeper from Wycombe Scott Shearer, think that provide good solid competition. I also believe Scott Dobie could be a decent shout for a forward, though his goalscoring record is a little sketchy.

Surely it is time to move on from past players where possible (Chandler being an exception!). They have both had their chances when they were with us before, why go back to them now?

Re: Nick Liversedge
I think it's worth saying, out of all the players on our released list I hope Nick Liversedge gets fixed up somewhere more than anyone else. Miller and Foster were thought of as heroes for sticking around after admin, but Liversedge stayed with us through that period as well. I know he won't have h...

Re: Carragher
If rumours are to be believed, Carragher is going to be named in the England provisional 30 tomorrow. If this happens, I'll seriously have to question Capello's judgement for the first time. Not only is Carragher way past his best (which was never good enough for England anyway), but he spat out hi...

Re: Pre season friendlies
SD said that 3 home friendlies had been arranged but would not disclose their identity just yet. As well as a friendly against one of the bigger north east teams, I wonder if SD could persuade his mate David Moyes bringing Everton over for a game?

Re: Retained list
I think Damon deserves a mention for the sterling work he's done since joining the club, so a big thanks to him  I second that! Anyway as for the retained list I think SD has called it spot on. Arnison has deserved a contract since being recalled into the team. As for the others,...

Also that he's looking to bring in some full-time coaching staff i.e. a goalkeeping coach - not Collett though, more likely someone he has worked with previously.

Re: tommy wright to sign
Cambridge and York fans thought he was sh**e. Fact. It's obviously not a fact. When he played for Cambridge at York last season, he got a great reception from the York fans and on their messageboard after the game a lot of their fans were saying they should have kept him. Rather like Hodgson admitt...

Talk is it was Wrighty for Purcell, if Purcell didn't sign and if Grimsby went down (which they have!). They are both regarded as similar players - strong, but with some pace. I think this 'rumour' has a strong possibility.

I'm glad some of these people ain't managers. FFS he's only 17 and thrown in at the deep end, he is nowhere near the finished article yet and has made maybe 2-3 appearances this season against seasoned pros. Its rare for any youngster at this level to wander straight into the first team and produce....

He has always stated his intentions to move up in English football and thats what he can do, he was given his chance by us (I'm sure he has appreciated been given his chance here Andy) and has proved he can make it at least at this level - good luck to him. Think it was also very good SD stated a st...

Re: Famous 5
Sorry got to disagree with the ones singling out Miller! In my opinion he has been one of our better players in a very poor season and took over the captains role (which can be a burden in its self and more so when trying to galvanise a poor team!). I see no reason why a defence including him and so...

Blue Square N/S Play-offs.
Just in case anyone has missed them and is interested, Bath City take a 2-0 lead over to Chelmsford in their semi-final, with Woking taking the 1st leg 2-1 against Dover.
The Conference North 1st leg matches take place tonight.

1st goal yeah should have done better, but can't say he was at fault for any of the others. The 3rd was Bower's fault for dwelling on the ball and not taking charge!

Bye bye Liversedge, Bower, White, Milne, Madden and those others shown not good enough. This could be a blessing in disguise. Fook them all off seriously. Oh well hardly suprising.

Ok 21 my bad but still young enough to make it at some stage. Goalkeepers generally don't peak until they are in their 30s.

Re: Liversidge Again
Well he must of had some ability to get to at least this level, its sometimes how well you're coached and trained that brings you up to that next level. This has been a very rough season for the lad, and at only 19 I believe he still has time to develop - under the right guidance and circumstances.

Re: Liversidge Again
As much as I think alot of his form is down to shot confidence, I'd be suprised if he is kept on by Davey. I think what would benefit Nick Liversedge is dropping into non-league and building confidence from there. There is no reason that he can't make it but he has to prove himself somewhere and unf...
