Re: Purver to Scarborough
But as many people have argued, we have two defensive midfielders in the team when purver and moke play alongside one another. Purver was very good last season, but he didn't chip in as many goals as liddle, and I'd like to think the qualities he brings can be replicated without *that much trouble....

Re: Who stays and who goes
Sick and tired of listening to AA blaming everyone for our decline since January, ie.” Every other club strengthened in January except us, we lost Beck and Dodds.”. One sentence where he included himself in some blame along with the board, the players etc etc. Already saying many players will leave...

Re: AA has to go now surely
AA's still in credit for me although I understand the fears about some saying they won't back Boost The Budget and the harmful effect of this drastic loss of form on crowds and interest in the club. I just think any important decision like this should be looked at dispassionately and with a longer ...

Re: AA has to go now surelyp
One of the main arguments given for not changing managers seems to be along the lines of we know he has his failings, but who else would we get. Looking back through history, our most successful managers have been relatively inexperienced, but were hungry to prove themselves. I am thinking of the l...

Re: Brackley V Darlington
We finally have some post-match reaction from Danny Rose: https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/danny-we-must-stick-together I am not entirely sure what the strategy is by the club withholding this interview 25 hours from full-time. Refreshing to hear a different voice say the right things. I am guessing...

Re: Brackley V Darlington
I would think people in that select few who are allowed to stream because of their position in the club would have more credibility than to do that I would think that the club can get numbers of streams It's club hierarchy and I doubt very much what you are suggesting happens at all.. I made a comm...

Re: Brackley V Darlington
What a wretched run this has been. I almost just want the season to end now, it's gone from great fun to utterly toxic. Thing is I never get much of a sense of this situation being addressed. It's like we're just trying the same things over and over again, and getting the same results. Man for man ...

The players might have preempted Armstrong’s half time bollocking judging by the huddle on the pitch before they went off at half time. They obviously realized they were a long way off it.

What the hell Armstrong saw in Howe totally baffles me .The lad is way,way out of his depth at this level. As said above, even Mondal would be an improvement.

Re: Darlington V Chester
Two absolute must win games next weekend now then. We've lost or failed to win a succession of hugely important games in recent weeks. If we want to compete in the play offs we really need six points from two -theoretically - winnable games over Easter. Can’t see us winning another game this season...

And whilst I’m on, are we attempting the most tin-pot contract signing photos in non-league? Moke signing a blank piece of A4 paper next to what appears to be a line-marker covered in paint is only topped by Lawlor signing his new deal back in April on a picnic bench. Proper Sunday League stuff. Fu...

Hopefully 2 aggressive bullies of players who want to win the ball not scared to put their bodies on the line , just to tame at the moment letting other team's strikers bully our defence out of the game.time and time again this season. Re: Andrew Nelson signs again
He is a sensible signing for me and we've nothing to lose. Personally, I don't think scoring goals is our issue, but conceding is. I'd invest the Beck wages into a commanding centre back. We’ve never replaced Hatfield and to a lesser extent, Wheatley. Ball retention and breaking up play is a proble...

For fielding an ineligible player along with another club in NL South. Does anyone recall us being fined (not deducted) in the NPL season? How did we get away with a fine and no deduction?
