Re: Ground share
Visited two Northern league grounds recently apart from taking your contact details and noting attendance under 300 nothing else done. No social distancing observed as fans gathered under only covered areas. No distancing observed in bars or burger stands, handshakes and hugs by players, physios pla...

Re: Bury FC fan - in need of some advice
You have a ground to share and play on, you have a manager who is hopefully putting a team together and most importantly fans who will volunteer; fans who cannot attend many matches but wish to support from afar. Based in Sunderland you are going to travel a fair bit but like Darlo in evostick when ...

Re: McMahon signs
If the season had resumed I believe he was one the surprises AA mentioned in his interview he expected to bring in to make the final push into the playoffs, wonder what the others were. Like Hunt he might not play every game (first two months are going to be Saturday/Tuesday games) but jumping strai...

Briefly saw AA walking his dogs at weekend , next potential signing has the choice of over six clubs we just have to be patient as hard as it is. Team raring for training and friendlies but still too early.

Re: New signing
He is not going to run around the pitch and play 40-50 games a season but hopefully will bring some organization to the Darlo defence and improve Storey and Laings game which the later definitely needed in the tackling department. Yes he could turn into a bag of shite like Ainge who was younger at 3...

Re: Sports village
I still believe in a couple of years when DJ has sold his stake in his business, as promised he will help us raise the finances to build or rent our own ground and explain the costs to fans in detail, where in Darlington that will be is anyone's guess but DBC have ample land opportunities. In the me...

Thanks Ray loved those four pieces on Alan's career, hadn't realised he got 97 goals in 3 years at Bristol City, was in league cup semi final and known in Bristol for his stepover "the Walshy shuffle" and hope we can get another chance to have a chat with him during a home game next season.

No, not me trying to wind anyone up, but what @Bostonutdstats claim on twitter. I have repeatedly tried to point out the correct position to him. Re: Big decision for Chester fans to make.
AS DJ mentioned in his recent interview there needs to be a cap or budget limit at our level, buying your way out of the league is short term and not what the NL & FA should be promoting. They need to grip the bull by the horns and take positive action. Unfortunately we know it is not going to happe...

I had a quick Chat with AA (keeping a safe distance) whilst waking the dogs at weekend he was blown away with the amount raised so far and could not praise the fans enough and proud of everyone donating despite not knowing when we will restart. Keep going lads and help us get to 100K.

First game the first round Fa cup in 1972 a 1-1 draw with Wrexham at Feethams, if honest I couldn't remember score but scared and thrilled at same time in Tin Shed, was always some bother, watching later Sunderland beat Leeds in the final wishing it could have been Darlington. Never thought 40 years...

Re: Isle of Man to join English pyramid?
For it to work I'm assuming the IOM would have to pay the ferry / flight costs for visiting teams. It's about 3 hours on the seacat from Liverpool or a 20 minutes flight from Speke. Yep that is the understanding I think. I think there are flights from Manchester and Blackpool to the IOM also. flybe...

Re: season tickets on sale
If that is the case then season ticket prices have risen. By maybe £25, I could be wrong... Ticket prices were obviously set and started to be sold before any of this kicked off and whilst it’s highly likely that the league won’t be expanded to 23 teams given the planned nullification of the divisi...

What a strange game. Honestly thought that was as good as I’ve seen us play for a long long time and some of the football would have graced a higher level and a joy to watch........but we lost!! Ultimately that’s what matters. Think our midfield, wide men and full backs ( if Trotman comes back) are...
