Re: FA Trophy

Liverpool City and hopefully a game on Saturday after that should blow the cobwebs away before a few important local derbies that will determine the direction the season will follow, will fans be washing seats at the arena before Xmas?

seem to remember Ron Ferguson putting the nut on someone and jogging away as the ref and linesman missed it following play, or am I dreaming that?

Re: Tonight's results

League is still pretty jumbled up based on the number of games played between different teams. Looks like another tough year for Blyth, was always going to be difficult for Michael Nelson looks like not getting the same financial support that had previously been in place. Not sure if it was a cruel...

Perhaps with the advent of the vaccine, we could go back the Arena & all get tested or jabbed as a pre-condition of entry. At least it will be easy to keep the jabs in the correct freezing storage conditions!
The arena is the only place that feels like -70C

Re: Away to Bristol rovers

Agree with the above. In no way is anyone saying Armstrong isn’t the right man and that he hasn’t done well, but we can still question some recent decisions. The persistence with Reid is a problem, as is the formation at home where we get over run in midfield Providing fitness is all ok I’d like to...

Re: Darlo v Gateshead

My starting 11 against Gateshead would be: Salter - keeps his place ahead of Minter. He needs to regain his confidence and what better way than keeping him in the team. He didn't do too much wrong on Sunday and made a couple of good saves. Yes their first goal was a mix up but bar that I thought he...

Re: Back to the Arena

I believe 1650 capacity at BM is more than enough , this allows season ticket holders to return some older fans will stay home and watch quaker tv, others will not travel as they are in tier3 and can't come to BM. Some fans will be happy, some won't there is even a chance (slim I know) that if we do...

Re: EFL Clubs to use up to 5 Subs

I doubt that anyone has ever pulled a muscle by walking. But aren't you just as likely to get a muscle injury in training as you are playing a proper match? So I don't know whether schedule of fixtures is totally responsible for such injuries. Holness for example was that a muscle injury last night...

If fans are not allowed in just after Xmas then additional funding is required and look how that has dragged on for EFL teams.

Re: Guiseley v Darlington

Guiseley sit just above us in the table having played one less game (Boston game pending), and will be a tough game, albeit winnable. My starting 11 is: Saltmer Hedley (not done much wrong at right back and has looked better than McMahon) Reid (height needed and last year he kept Felix quiet when m...

Paul Tisdale The former Exeter City and MK Dons boss was 6/1 on Monday morning, but the markets have shifted and Tisdale is now a 1/5 favourite to get the Bristol Rovers managers job.

Re: Raj Singh finally speaks to the poolies

Saturdays defeat should be the reality check Raj requires he is not going to get the ground on the cheap from the council and not keep control while another investor puts £2million in and pampers his bruised ego. Fans have to take more control but as always it will be when everything else has failed

Raj is not a pool fan nor was he a Darlo fan understand that first, he is a businessman interested in making money, someone who complained about beds being empty in his care homes and losing 10K a week because the old buggers were dying and he wasn't getting replacements. Thanks for the link noted you can buy the video of the game later for £2 if you cannot make Sat 3pm. Maybe something quaker TV could consider for those who want to watch full match instead of waiting for free highlights?

Darlington have to be cautious here, he will show in training whether he can hack it week in week out, and his attitude and work ethic has to be right for the dressing room, and his alun is best left to judge this, alun hasn't got a wrong'un yet. Re: FA cup game to be played at BM

Some clarity on what is happening at least for this week. It will be at Blackwell as no surprise to read the Arena pitch not ready. Hoping that Quaker TV will be able to screen the game at a cost of £7.99. Worry now is that this will be the norm for the foreseeable future. How viable it is we will ...
