Re: Greetings again Darlo fans
Thanks for the update I guess if you can limit Mr alexanders holdings below 30-40% then fans keep majority shareholding.Yes understand all the hard work being relinquished but its about bury surviving and progressing is the most important and maintaining your spiritual home is key. How many Darlo fa...

Re: Newton Aycliffe v Darlington Tuesday July 5th.
Thought Rivers and Mondal were very bright, Lambert played some lovely thru balls and Hazel got straight on the scoresheet plus no injuries, but have to remember Aycliffe had a couple of 15 year olds on the pitch and a few new recruits from Crook town who played well and assisted the goals with Tayl...

Re: Mutterings From The Monkey Hangers
no difference to some on here , they realise Raj is not going to flash the cash, they have a decent budget from a couple of cup runs and until a new buyer comes in and pays Raj off or he gets ownership of ground on the cheap it will be run like one of his care homes.

Re: BTB - It's back
Well done everyone I thought in present economic climate £100k would be a satisfactory target and give AA a decent chance, the news we passed £120K is fantastic would be great also (now being greedy) if we could increase slightly the number of season ticket holders? Really proud to be part of this f...

Re: BTB - It's back
This time last year we were at just over £70K , Griifiths and Mondal signed with Alex Storey signing on for another year. Day before in AA interview with Ray AA stated that " he wanted to wait while other clubs were signing players early; alot of league players will struggle to find clubs and it had...

Re: Retained list
Also surprised about Cassidy as AA has continually praised him despite the winter /spring goal drought, unless he has someone similar in mind. Don't believe Rivers & mondal performances this season justified being retained hope it is on reduced terms as expect both to be squad players with Mondal li...

Re: Kidderminster V Darlington
Don’t think we need to make any improvements in terms of defence. I’d keep everyone we current have including Storey good 4th choice and young. One issue I do have with defence because it’s old we play too deep and with our current midfield crop we pretty much have a midfield full of CDMS. What we ...

Re: Farsley match thread
Very disappointing game , Lambert tried but needs someone to drive forward with him in the centre. Oneil was not working with him and never really got into the game, still not match fit thought we would change him sooner. Thomson again not quite up for it and couldn't find oneiil. Mondal started bri...

And who can forget "one of the most technically gifted players I have ever worked with" Alex 'Electric Pace' Henshall. I think Tommy said the same about Glover having a huge future in the game. Somewhere between him trying to convince us Johnny Burn was as good as the Josh Heaton we sold and him re...

Re: Management
Three years to the day we ended our NLN season with a draw at Leamington finished 16th, scored 56 goals , lost 16 games and had 50pts, Tommy Wright was released as we couldn't afford to sack him earlier and save the season , despite previous season finishing 12th, DJ commented " As a board we have t...

I've just looked at the goals from Saturday. They seemed bad at the time but look even worse on the highlights. Both Ellis and Griffiths thinking about their holidays..... I know Ellis was not fully fit at Gateshead but Storey and himself were both wrong side of gateshead players and fourth gateshe...

Re: Gateshead v Darlington
Part time teams can get promoted look at Sutton United but they have to be fit enough able to play for 90 minutes, surely this long into the season KDS can play atleast a full game?. During warm up Gateshead practiced pinging in crosses as we played on touch into feet little circles that was the two...

Hoping for draws between Chorley v boston and Kettering v York,
defeats for Evenwood utd v BPA and Alfreton at Kidderminster,
expect Curzon to lose at Brackley just to kill any faint hopes they have.

Really enjoyed that performance tonight. Deserved a victory and should have won by a wider margin. Cassidy was excellent in my opinion. Well taken goal and a handful for their defenders throughout. Exactly the type of performance we were missing when they thumped us at their place. Looking at the r...

Re: Building for Season 2022/23
I would keep Taylor, Hedley, Smith, Wheater, Ellis, Rose, Hatfield, KDS, Lambert, Mondal , Moke (don't know); like to keep Wheatley and Storey but believe lack of play even when been reasonable in the team they will eventually move on. Lawlor, Thompson and Oneil good signings but can we afford them ...

Wheatley just hasn't seemed himself this year. Recently started a full time job , struggled with fitting in training travelling etc might be that Marske schedule fits in better. If not hopefully he can get himself back fighting for a place. Seems from AA interview Joe asked to leave which is fair e...

https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/brandon-joins-bishops-on-loan Seen Bishop a few times this season, really struggling and defeat to Penrith last week pushes them towards relegation. Re: York v Darlington
Agree never understand why Cassidy flicks the ball on when other forwards are out on the wings, might work with Tyrone but waste of time otherwise. First half we controlled game and had a few long range efforts. Second half the wheels came off, York changed the team and it worked, our distribution ...

Re: York v Darlington
I have to say we played ok, until goal, they lumped ball up most of the time and we know that is a weakness in our team with a ball over the top. Was not sure about AA's formation with Cassidy instead of O"Neil and no Lambert or Rose in team, (arguably two of our better players), but when I looked ...
