Re: Gloucester (A)

:) Or its a case of help pay towards it or you go down on the day of the game instead. If I send my staff to work away from home I don't expect them to pay for any of it. Haha, first time i've heard playng an away match as "working" away from home! And so what if we said we are travelling down and b...

Re: Hodgy

Don't think away followings are much of a money spinner. The bigger clubs all know that the facilities are crap, and there attendees reflect this. Yes, the facilities are rubbish at Blackwell Meadows. However, over our seasons at BM, we have benefitted from Scarborough, Shields, York & Gateshead al...

Ah yes the announcement suggests a payment was overdue.

We will get it covered and it's already been provided for in the budget.
That means written off with budget drawn from elsewhere to cover the hole.

This calendar year has been a complete top down s*** show by all concerned.

Re: New sponsor

Nuleaf have now ceased trading as of last week. Looking at Companies House, we should never have agreed to this in the first place. Is it a bad thing? Surely we have been paid already and now we can replace them and get paid again. I would expect any sponsorship is paid in stages so this could leav...

Re: Hodgy

I'd love to know who turned us down, or withdrew from the running, before we appointed Gowling. It seems like more than just Hodgy said no. I'm still personally disappointed we didn't appoint Lakeland but who knows what actually happened. Is this Lakeland the manager of King's Lynn who have lost 3 ...

David Hodgson was guest speaker at Darlington Towns Xmas do. Says he was offered the managers job following AAs sacking but turned it down as he thought Alun was hard done by. Says that he wouldn’t say no if offered it again though but it does concern him how long he has been away from management a...

Wtf is Gowling doing trying to creatively stretch the budget, why isn’t he throwing his toys out of the pram and giving self serving interviews about how stacked against him everything is like the last clown in charge ?
Did Armstrong shag your wife? I’ve not seen a vendetta like this in years.

Whatever Asante is on it's a waste of scarce resources - he's being paid for cantering around for ten minutes or so, seeming to be quite unfit then it's the usual just wait and see we get from the club. They could tell us honestly when he's likely to be fit. What must the other players think of thi...

The basic statement requires an answer!!!! Who do we appoint now that makes us better ?? I’ll wait….
Steve Watson. Solid and steady
Easy as that then, sack JG and get SW👍🏻
We already have a copy of his CV from the last recruitment drive.

I guess there is something in the data which states this is the correct approach, but it doesn’t look convincing Does it even need to be in the data when a team are 1-0 up in the last minute? Hopefully Asanti is fit enough to give us something up front tonight, as I'm not quite sure what we'll do otherwise. We've struggled to score goals even with strikers playing And with Lawlor out I'm worried (even more than usual...) about our ability to keep a clean sheet too So, to sum up, I'm not...

I just don't think it was a hugely sinister lie, in fact I didn't think it was much more than a throwaway comment. More concerned with the next 10 games tbh. They are make or break for our season. I do suspect the board are thinking that a more 'obvious' appointment might have avoided some of this....

We need a result on Saturday? Really? I think we need to get results against Warrington and Rushall. I honestly do not think it matters if we win, lose or go to pens on Saturday. Depends what value he placed on keeping the score respectable - as I say he may have learned more about the players at his disposal from what happened than just putting everyone behind the ball under siege for 75 minutes. No manager would ever consciously think, “I could keep this respectable but I...

Telling people off. Sorry I know what I'd do at work if someone 'told me off'. "Bye" Great way to prove my point. I've been looking at these goals again on the highlights and something caught my eye. In goals 5 and 6 T.T. just seems to idly swing a defeated leg out, why doesn't he at least attempt to get down on the ball? To me it's not a good look :( For years (but not lately) I’ve seen goalie warm ups where ...
