Re: Knowledge

I remember Lee Ellison playing non league for likes of shildon and bishop. Seemed decent at that level. He once said the scotch guy at Darlington knocked his confidence when he was younger? I'm sure he had one final shot as a pro with Darlington in late 90s under David hodgson. He was definitely pl...

Re: Darlington v Stockport

Agree with most of what has been said in this thread with regards to Wright and personally after yesterday I'm at a crossroads, although my confidence in him is decreasing I'm still holding onto that bit of hope that he can turn it around and that in a couple of weeks time we'll be able to forget ev...

Re: Galbraith

Galbraith was holding the defence together plus taking corners from both sides, we were doing much better before he went off injured I don't think we play better at any stage of yesterday, we started off badly and just continued, but he was the best of a bad bunch in defence. Anybody notice in the ...

I reckon we'll still take around 500 to the game. I’ll have some of what you’re smoking? Fucking 500, go to sleep Pete. We took just shy of 800 in April for an absolute meaningless game. We will take over 1,000 tomorrow. Fucking 500, give your head a shake   Come on then, who called it ri...

Re: Henshall replaces Gillies

Never heard of him.

My one concern though is he's already a bit of a journey man for 24 year old, if I've read it correctly we are his 8th different club.

Regardless it is only really possible to judge him on what he does for us on the pitch, welcome to the club Alex!

Sorry I probably worded that wrongly, what I meant was if Spenny finish in the play offs they'll play Kiddy away and as things stand I can't see anything other than Kiddy beating them.

Re: I've never known a team make such heavy weather of it

I went along tonight and I have to say Spenny looked absolutely knackered, they were lethargic and sloppy and never really started playing until Ferriby equalised. The mammoth run of games has really taken it's toll on them I think they've played Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday just about every week for...

Allegedly.

Apparently McGill's deadline for bids is on Monday, the ownership situation there could have a baring on whether or not they move to Monk's Cross.

I'm pretty sure the league won't allow us to play them at home twice!

Unless you ground share I'm pretty sure that's a no no.

Just noticed that Curzon have home games scheduled for 3rd + 5th v Nuneaton and Gainsborough before playing us on 10th. Could be useful if they do play as they may be knackered by the time they come to BM, as they meet inform Nuneaton and a 6 pointer with Gainsborough. Not anymore they don't, their...

I am not convinced that when we actually get to the final league table of the season we will look that out of touch with the playoffs (3 or 4 points maybe). I am convinced though that you are deluded and clutching at straws. We will be well out of touch of the play offs come April and we'll be much...

Given TW said when he came he thought the side was capable of making the play-offs, we shouldn't be defeatist about tough-looking games. And look where he's got us. If that squad is capable of making the play offs then our current league position and his record since taking over leaves some serious...

Re: Darlington FC V Salford

Yes indeed we showed Salford up tonight, we made them look so bad they won. They were negative last night I actually thought they played much better on the opening day when we beat them at their place, they seemed content to take 0-0 at half time and snatch a 1-0 and defend it and they looked like t...

As the old saying goes, some things are best left never said. It would have been all too easy for MG to pull off a Salford style hatchet job to antagonise our fans or do what Falky did at Harrogate and begin goading us but he didn't. He turned up took the inevitable stick on the chin and didn't make...

It won't take much to knock up a little stand in that area behind the dug out, I assume it was was smoothed over for that purpose anyway. And it seems sensible to wait rather than dive in and spend money needlessly on ground improvements it turned out they didn't need. Failing that they can always b...

Bottom line from yesterday, we're not nearly good enough no ifs, no buts. It is beyond a joke now we are rotten to the c...

I would expect this won't be arranged till mid Jan given the already hectic Christmas/New Year run in.

The way things are going I don't think we'll get a home game this month!
