Re: DFC Board very quiet on the Fundraising
I have found our twitter to be strangely quiet in general recently. Other clubs at this level seem to push home games constantly, whereas our twitter account doesn't seem to mention much at all until the day before/day of the game. I appreciate it will be run by volunteers, but considering we have ...

Re: Prediction League
Fixtures for the remainder of the month added - sorry the Southport one was missed.
Think it's about time I found someone with a bit more time than me to look after the day to day on this place, the code's getting old and I'm getting behind on looking after it...

Salford game is up for prediction and confirmed signings have been added to the dropdowns, sorry it's a little late. Will try to get the rest of the season added over the weekend.

Re: Pledge page
There was a problem with the DNS (behind the scenes stuff to do with the domain) that meant some people were being directed to the wrong server. All sorted as of late yesterday morning but, owing to the way the internet works, some will catch the fix before others. Just keep trying, and it should re...

They would only be single games rather than two legged affairs, so there wouldn't be any extra games:
Current system: 5v2 / 2v5, 4v3 / 3v4 + Final = five games
New system: 4v7, 5v6 + 2v(A), 3v(B) + Final = five games

We have to stop hounding out the ones we do have, as well. As lo says, we need them. Volunteers giving their time freely are a rare and precious commodity - priceless, and they're going to make mistakes just as anyone in any walk of life can. Even just a minor example, I regularly get the wrong name...

You can appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf by firstly finding someone willing, and then e-mailing the SG to let them know, per the instructions in the e-mail you may or may not have received by now.jjljks wrote:What if I can't get to the SGM but want to vote? Excellent summary Mikky. I know it's not the same thing but Salford's owners appear to have a 50/50 split between Peter Lim and the class of 92. Perhaps this would be possible for us? Didn't MG confirm at the recent forum that anything less than 51% is not workable? Could be wrong but don't think s...

The alternative was Martin's belief, and not one I necessarily agree with. We still have one of the larger fan bases at this level, never mind the ones below it, which with sufficient budgetary control could leave us with a playing budget that wouldn't be top 5 but wouldn't be threatening to our lea...

There's some talk on Twitter about how a "confusing" e-mail received from the FA when we started to look into the grading rules may form a key part of our appeal. As with all things on social media, I'm not so much taking it with a pinch of salt as the entire shaker, but we'll see what the club pub...

Re: I support the Board
It still feels like a stupid rule to me. Asking teams to spend five to six figure sums - at our level - on the possibility they could be promoted is just asking for those clubs to be in financial trouble if they don't win the league and / or fail in the playoffs.

Hopefully Tommy Wright will get a good reception when he returns as manager of Nuneaton. Why?.He was at the club for 5minutes. 21 goals in 76 games across two spells (so says good old Wikipedia, anyway) and a member of the FA Trophy winning squad. Although I'd personally give him a much warmer welc...
