Re: Jamie Chandler

I have huge amount of respect for Chandler and appreciate all he did for Darlo and I understand the decision he made to leave the club.

I don't think "un-following" him on twitter goes against that?

if Peter Ridsdale can go around bankrupting clubs left right and centre, i'm sure Houghton will be able to get his foot in the door.

Didn't he once claim he'd rather remove his own testicles with a razor than get involved with Darlo?

Re: Players to be paid

i go to watch ice hockey and the ways the club makes money through the supporters is fantastic. Things like the 50:50 and shirt raffles, player sponsors, merchandise etc... is organised so well and puts Darlo (and most football clubs to shame). Thats on attendances of around 3000. If someone was to ...

Re: Singh now killing the club

Why does Raj need to bring costs down now though? Surely after we won at Wembley and he sat down with Cooper in the pre-season he should have known roughly what the 2011-12 season was going to hold for us, both income and out going wise? After Wembley, i'm sure Singh said he was willing (and able) t...

I'd go more often regardless of the performances if it was watching the game somewhere other than the arena. The place is lifeless. Looking at 23000 empty seats is grim whichever way you look at it. Re: MK Dons

MK Dongs are an abomination of a football club that should not be in the football league, but that is for another debate. Stadium MK looks quite impressive in the pictures I've seen of it but the unfinised upper tier is an absolute eyesore, it will much look better with seats in it whether they are...

Top 10 worst moments since moving to the Arena

Seen via Twitter Craig Stoddart is looking for people to submit their top 10 worst moments since we moved to the Arena. I know a lot people will have plenty of moments before we moved, but what can we come up with.... 1. Obviously relegation from the football league is probably the worst. 2. Houghto...

In deference to the title of this thread why was Hitman taken off? Injured? No. Booked and so to avoid a red card? Faintly possible. Or was it because he was SHITE? I love the big guy, but I do feel he is playing on past reputation at the moment. All he seems to do is hang around on the left wing w...

Mor Diop, his name just sounded ace. Erm Bobby Petta wasn't the greatest tob be fair! Expected much better things from him. I can't believe I actually remember this, but I've just checked and I'm right. You put Bobby Petta in your "best Darlington FC team"... http://darlofc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.ph...

Previous "Big" signings

Was just reading the "big signings" thread and felt inspired to start a post to discuss some once big name players who Darlo signed and at the time everyone thought they'd do an epic job, and they turned out to be a bit crap. I'll start with a couple... Dean Windass - I, probably like many, thought ...

Nice to see David Stockdale feature/interview on SSN this afternoon.

Didn't mention Darlo too much apart from talking about moving from a League2 side to the Prem.

Great to see the lad get some exposure.
