Re: Rugby League

When we were relegated in 16 we averaged 11 players missing per match through the season. I thought that was bad enough but it has reached epidemic proportions, and this after we trimmed the numbers to have a bit more class !!! Plenty of fools calling for Tim Sheens head. 1 even said why have academ...

Re: Democracy under threat.

Are you into debate or sarcasm? I am as much a " international trade negotiator" as you are. Please also show where I said it would not hurt? On the contrary I said that it would be painful at first. What I do NOT accept is this whitewash that we have nowhere else to trade. That is an outright lie. ...

Re: Rugby League

Rob, Saints next weekend and I am dreading it. We might have Mulhern back but I am hearing 3 more doubtful after last night. That will mean a minimum of 5 players who have never played senior rugby before. Thinking our record defeat may be in serious danger and a long drive back up the M6 to the bor...

Re: Rugby League

When you start a game with 3 untried kids on the bench and a guy who very nearly died from illness just on Christmas time, you worry. When you add a kid moving to prop and trying to take on 25KLO's extra weight than he has got, 2 more that should not have been playing according to the medics, and yo...

Re: Democracy under threat.

Quaker Pete, using figures in that manner does not always work. I can "prove" I have 11 fingers and thumbs. (I haven't), but can prove I have by manipulating the figures. You say our imports are spread between 27 countries. How many of those 27 do we actually trade with? Also to what extent. Take ou...

Re: Democracy under threat.

Pete, can that in any way be worse than being half in and half out with no way of ending the mess. Also no vote on anything going on? Yes bumping out with no deal will hurt initially, but I tell you what, and this is just 1 example, The Germans will be crapping themselves at losing our car imports. ...

Re: Democracy under threat.

The saddest FACT in all this mess is that both sides are so entrenched neither is really ready to listen to the other because of the lies that have been spouted by BOTH sides, not just 1. Thankfully I do not do Facebook witter, snapchat or any other of those so miss a lot of the claims. The "Experts...

Re: Democracy under threat.

People forget, we had to "give up" many of our natural markets in the commonwealth because we joined the EU. Many would love us back and there are also new markets in the ex Eastern block etc. We have a reputation for good quality. People will always want that. If we use the Billions of to leave mon...

Re: Democracy under threat.

The reason the whole thing has wound up like this is because of the 2 totally divergent needs of those involved. Those with the upper hand,(Germany, France etc), are industrial countries and require a reasonably strong Euro. Such as Greece and Spain, Portugal etc are highly reliant on tourism and as...

Re: Democracy under threat.

So they intend asking for 1 of 2 delays. 1 until June which will only be allowed if the PM can show a reason for the delay. The second,(and people should keep in mind the FACT that the PM and most of the "Brexit team" voted to remain) runs until "The end" of next year. By which time the treaty of Li...

Re: Democracy under threat.

Pete, I am virtually on my knees asking for a no deal leave. I always wanted out as I believed the EU to be undemocratic and heavily loaded towards some countries to the detriment of others. Anyone wishing to query my reasons for being desperate to escape now should simply read the treaty of Lisbon ...

Re: Rugby League

Poor game at the CP yesterday. Ruined by a horrible wind straight into the North stand that at times had us fighting to breath. Glad I was not on the pitch !!! Somehow we managed to lose a game we had won. Not helped by a try for Cats that was dropped and re-caught but missed by the ref, and the las...

Re: North Ferriby wound up

North ferriby were at evostick level for years and i reckon they could have stayed at this level with crowds and facilities they had but it seemed the wankers in charge ran them into the deck on purpose as they could not relocate the club. Shildon had a tax bill of around 20k about 15 year back and...

Re: Rugby League

Yet more long term injuries at KR Greenwood out for a year with torn ACL and Lannon has had surgery on torn ankle ligaments. May be back in 4 months if quick heeling.

That makes 12 out for over 6 months.

Took an hour and a half to get home with heater full blast and half an hour in the shower to nearly thaw out after yesterdays trip to Wakey. Never, ever, been so cold !!! Re: Rugby League

Funny old game. Last season Udders were by far the worst team KR played in both games. I could not believe we were the only side to beat them in about 12-14 games and we not only beat them but smacked them twice. As far as I saw it last night they have not improved, yet they totally bossed Wigan who...

Re: Rugby League

You played well in parts, but I really do believe you were up against the best side in SL this year. I hope they win it for Benny W if nothing else. We learned yesterday that Lannon is out for at least 3 months. I really do wish we could get 1 or 2 of these 1-2 week injuries some clubs get. 3 months...

Re: Rugby League

Good for Wigan. VERY bad for the game in general. Just 3-4 seasons ago Salford were deducted 6 points for exactly the same offence. That was not returned. Take your blinkers off Pete. RL in the UK is dying on its feet at the top level because of inconsistent reffing and total bad management from Red...

Re: Rugby League

Rob, it really annoys me pre season the fans were saying this was our best recruitment for years. (I actually believe it is), but 5 games in we are total sh27t. People did not realise how damaging those ruddy middle 8's were. As the only club in them every season they were played they are going to t...

Re: Rugby League

I hate it when fans talk of injuries. In the 7 players KR have out at the moment 2 will not play this season having missed much of last as well. in 2016 when we went down we AVERAGED 11 out every game. I thought we did well until the 3rd injury. Rob, you do realise we only had 1 player to swap all t...

Re: Rugby League

Cas will go very close this season again. If they finish above Warry they win it, and York will run Toronto all the way. As a fan of the only SL team to go over there, Toronto could teach the entire Northern hemisphere RL family how to run the game. A full day out, not just 80 mins and "giz your mon...
