Re: The Boxing Thread
Have you tried getting BT Sport direct from Sky? They offer that now. And it’s often cheaper if you Phone up. I effectively got it free, as I was paying 30 a month to BT. Called Sky who added the Channels through them, have new contract with it all on for 40 less than I was originally paying. So wo...

Re: The Boxing Thread
Ok cheers, well I pay enough for Sky & BT sport without having to fork out for something else. I get that My Sky bill is £100 a month and an extra 20 quid for BT sport as well, and that does not count my mobile phone which costs an extra 15 quid. I think the extra we pay for the likes of the Joshua...

Re: Rugby League
Announced today. Buzzing. That is 5 real quality signings so far for KR and give us the 1 thing we have lacked since 2015. A pack that will drive us forwards. We ain't going to be bullied this year, and the speed of our backs will torment defences as we showed last season. . https://www.hullkr.co.uk...

Re: Rugby League
Leigh Centurions promoted to the SL, I am genuinely shocked at this news. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/55300001 I am not. Good ground,(apart from another bloody plastic pitch), and an owner that has been around a while They have been signing a lot of released SL players. Mind you having...

Re: The Boxing Thread
Thought Joshua was very impressive last night, some mighty upper cuts would normally have ended the fight much earlier against a lesser mortal than Pulev, But he was outclassed. Bring on Fury, can't wait for that one. I pick and choose which Sky boxing I watch and I did not decide until the first f...

Re: Rugby League
Yes, very happy with that. They are a well run club with lots of community work and involvement.
I doubt it will be long before they hit SL.
Also of course, a nice easy ride for me to get to.

Pete you are talking about Millwall while I was talking about WHU. There is a comment above re' booing at the OS at the weekend, while I was told there was none.

Re: Taking the Knee
Did you notice, (you may have missed it because there was no hysterical ranting by the mass media afterwards), the Millwall fans who were accused of racism at the weekend for booing the players last night applauded the same players for holding up an anti racism banner and not taking the knee. You ar...

Re: Taking the Knee
Is this what you want? The "State" is coming down on the Millwall fans and saying they can't boo. Just how far should "The state" be allowed to dictate to individuals? Again, if the booing was racist it was wrong, but if it was protesting the taking of the knee they should have the right to say they...

Re: Taking the Knee
After seeing a comment above I posted on a WHU site I run asking if anyone was at the match and could enlighten me about any booing. 2 people came back saying they were at the match. Both reported that some people turned their backs on the players as they "took the knee", others kept on chatting and...

Re: Diego Maradona
I remain convinced that, good as the second goal looks, had their minds not been scrambled by what happened just a couple of minutes earlier he would not have got as far as the box because someone would have made sure he hit the deck before getting that far. I suspect that Old Git's view would be t...

Re: Diego Maradona
How did I know that I would be dragged into this somehow as the argument took an argumentative turn? As to Maradona I did not like him. Not for scoring that goal but for the fact he gloated about it for years rather than just either ignore it or hold his hand up at the time. I remain convinced that,...

Now that lived upto a classic Grand Final, happy Saints won and like comeondarlo have a definite dislike for Hardaker, as a Tigers fan he let us down so badly with his behavior then pissed off to Wigan never really apologised to Cas fans. If they are starting next season a month later & the Grand Final isn't being moved, how are they going to get these extra games played, unless they play some of them midweek? Playing less games Pete. There are no loop games and what was meant to be top 8 is top 6 as this year. That means the bottom...

During the Grand Final the commentator said that he expects teams to return to training at the start of January, not much of a break for the players. Yes it was a great final, can't believe it finished that way. Gutted. I was going to come on last night and comment but I wanted to see what you had to say. The great & ugly this coming evening. The great will be Dubious v Joyce showing on BT sport & not via the Box Office. If there is any doubt, then they should refer it to the TV ref. I agree one of the try's did have a forward pass in the build up. Thought that tackle by French to stop Hull scoring when Wigan were already safe was exceptional. Wonder who will win tonight, heart says Catalan, my head says St. Helens...

Was that comprehensive enough for you? Awesome display by Wigan to reach the grand final next Friday. You do like to up your Wigwam lot don't you. Couple of massive semi-finals take place tonight & tomorrow. Sorry but this years "Man of Steel is a joke.
How they can even contemplate not giving it to Mose is totally beyond me.

So happy he has been asked to take the ball out to the middle at the cup final.

Was he injured our in oz or was he just not fancied to play? At 32 he'll almost certainly be past his best especially as he is a winger, where you need to keep your pace to remain competitive & effective. Time will tell if he is a great signing or not. No the management simply did not fancy him. Th...

Re: Rugby League
We have today signed Ryan Hall.
His time in Aus did not go too well, but at the point he left not many UK clubs would have said "no thanks" to signing him.
32 years old so hopefully has the 2 years left in his legs that we have signed him for.
