Re: Brackley v Darlington
The number of mistakes that have been made over the years is frightening considering the money lost stupidly because of lack of knowledge/understanding of the laws. Forgive my ignorance - but what money have we lost due to lack of understanding of laws? If you need a long winded wordage then fine! ...

Re: Asante
Oh well, just another goal today for Jacob Hazel, that’s 5 goals & 3 assists for him in 13 appearances at Boston. Meanwhile Akwasi Asante sits out another week on big wages. He is our 007 at the moment. 0 Goals 0 Assists 7 Appearances Criminal. May be correct, but what is the point in going on and ...

Re: Brackley v Darlington
Steve might be able to push us three places up the table, it's possible, but if we go down the ramifications could mean trouble. I'm thinking; Board resignations? Watson leaving? A possible attempted coup by Gray :o If we go down both boards need to take full responsibility for this and heads shoul...

Re: Brackley v Darlington
Let’s be honest if we cannot score against the crap sides we were never going to score against Brackley. 2 away games in a week, no threat and barely made either keeper get a sweat on kind of sums us up. A midfield of Platt and Hatfield will create nothing. Not knocking either of them as both give ...

Re: Asante
My patience is definitely wearing thin if he's contracted for next season. If that's the case it's a ridiculous decision. Had he come in fit, playing regularly and scoring goals that would put a different slant on it. Sure I read his contract is this season and next when he signed. I am sorry but i...

Question is, do we hope for the best as things stand, or now we have found another forward who can make us tick, do we back Watson further and throw caution to the wind so we have an even better chance of avoiding the drop? Justin Donowa is available for loan, so I hear. Imagine what he could bring...

If money is tight, then surely the attacking options are far more important than the defensive ones.

Not totally, if we stop letting 2-3 in we only need 1 to win a game!!

Re: v Tamworth
Of course we are not going to give in but let’s be realistic here, we probably need to win 10 out of 19 games. We don't need 30 points. We need 8 wins and then some draws along the way. Just as hard to see it happening mind, not sure we are able to be unbeaten never mind win. Can't help but feel we...

Re: v Tamworth
I say 0-0 featuring a worldie from Tommy Taylor - 50 years, Ed Johns and I might recall the same result when QPR with Rodney Marsh came to Feethams as league leaders in 1967. Mind you we had Yoggie and Joe Jacques on that night. I remember a 0-0 at their place about the same time in 1 of the worst ...

Re: Good luck Steve Watson
Talking of forwards, the mention of Curry brings back the question of his fitness to play. I think I had heard that he was due to be ready to play around now. Does anyone know what his current state of fitness is? Looking at him trying to run prior Scarboro game it appears the quality street had go...

Re: New Assistant Manager
Feels Like Gowling was possibly the right man but very much at the wrong time - an experiment to try when a team isn't in freefall. DJ has taken action and the two appointments have a very solid feel about it. Hoping Steve W keeps it simple for the players. Heard on the radio yesterday that the bir...

Re: Good luck Steve Watson
What I liked best about the interview was that when Ray brought up a BTB, he said it would be good, but the best thing fans could do would be to get behind the team and support them.
Thank God his first words were not begging for money, but about togetherness.

Re: Boost the Budget
Blackwell Meadows has been a curse. A rushed decision that has been a millstone around our necks. We'd have been relegated and unable to be promoted to NLN again if we hadn't moved back when we did mind. Which seems to be happening anyway and at least we had a good relationship with Bish. Bloody he...

Re: How is this being paid for?
Funny how Armstrong was given a two year deal and then had his budget cut, only to be sacked and his successor given the money he wasn’t allowed to spend. Poor form from the board that. Armstrong had enough credit in the bank from previous seasons (cup runs, tv games, player sales) to be given ever...

Fair play? Or is he still agitating to get fans on his side?poppyfield wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 6:09 pmYes Gray was in the crowd, fair play to hm turning up after the boards press release. He was looking very relaxed and happy to chat with fans.
I have no doubt whatever that he still knows what is written on here and other outlets.

Think it’s probably bad that Shields and Blyth jobs up for grabs and quite possibly Spenny in near future as sure I read ages ago that their guy was temp until the new year. Imagine any likely candidate for us is also on their list so real bad timing I reckon. Quite probable that likes of Steve Wat...

We'll have to pay a severance to the current manager and staff, as well as to some of his terrible signings. Do we know that though, for sure? Have you ever wondered why the terms of J.G's contract remain so secret? Or why he even got the job when possibly, there might have been better candidates? ...

Where are the Gowling fan boys tonight? He needs to go now. Haway DJ, admit you nade a blunder and rectify it while we still have a slim chance of staying up. Thought you’d be knocking one out into your Xmas stocking over today A VERY poor result though I agree, just as the Gloucester one was a goo...

Re: North Shields
My first thought is disgust at the players and manager for a lack of loyalty. Surely at that level, they are not totally dependent on money gained from the club to survive and could have deferred payment until games were played. I'm not sure about this Ed. I don't know any of the detail on this but...

Re: Season 23/24
Is anyone going to actually be accountable for the decisions over the last year? I get most are volunteers, but that shouldn't hide the fact they have the power to make decisions, decisions that should be in the interests of shareholders aka fans. Which they are clearly getting wrong. What would yo...

Getting a bit fed up of people giving negative thoughts on here and hoping to be proved wrong. My view is to be more positive in our outlook. When all is said and done we are where we are and I believe a positive atmosphere from the supporters at our games will feed to the players and produce a pos...

Never thought I’d say this, but if we do get relegated, I would find it hard to justify renewing my season ticket which I’ve had for 35 years . Everyone is entitled to use their cash as they wish but have to say, I find it strange you kept your pass through 3 administrations and dropping down to th...
