Re: McMahon signs
What that squad has in that first season was momentum gained by steam-rollering the divisions below. That carried us to victories we probably never should have had. We’re slowly starting to build some momentum again with as settled a side we’ve had since that season. Mad to think we’ve been in NLN n...

Now there is a new guy at the helm of DMP - surely now its an opportunity to get into bed with these guys about a future ground share, smaller stadium etc - we all know the issues with DRC - both the club and the ground itself - at the end of the day we have to look after ourselves and a new facili...

Re: Ground share
I think we’d have to be looking toward the players taking some sort of voluntary deferral or cut if the situation arose that we had to play more than a quarter of our games under our average capacity of 1400ish. Perhaps this could be done in combination with another (smaller) fundraising drive from ...

Totally agree re Wheatley’s goal at Walsall. Definitely my goal of the season. Best moment since the trophydon'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 10:26 pmFor me Hatfield for his consistency and energy and that Wheatley goal at Walsall-it was massive for our club and fans.

Would be a bigger coup than Maguire if we landed Green. I expect him to make the step up to NL level at least if he leaves York

Not sure if he’s big and nasty but AA was never going to sign someone like McNulty for instance so this is as close as we’ll get. Reads the game well, experienced head and good distribution. Ticks a lot of boxes for the way we play.

Re: Potential new signings
The more you think about it the more sense it makes. Alun first and foremost liked his defenders to be good with the ball at their feet. A typical clogger at CB wouldn’t give that option but an experienced RB who had recently converted to CB and done really well who has a good pass on him starts to ...

The club crest on the orange shirt looks like an iron on, or is it just for display purposes The orange shirt is just a graphic rather than an actual shirt like the burgundy one. It's a shame Orange don't exist any more. Remember that big square patch on the shirt, shocker to wash! France Telecom bought the brand across the world. It no longer trades in the UK but can be found in many other countries. Their main football sponsorship is Olymique Marseille - they’ve tweaked t...

His minutes to goals/assists is actually decent. It’s difficult to judge with such limited game-time spread across a number of seasons. He is definitely more of an impact player but at 22, still has time to improve. I certainly wouldn’t be writing it off, like some have, for the reasons I’ve outlin...

Wrightson isn’t good enough for where we want to be imo. Can’t see that one happening as I’m sure he was out of contract last season and he didn’t end up here which would have been a safer bet

£110,467 from 529 investors (I appreciate that these are not individual investors, more individual pledges). That said, how many ‘pledges’ did we have last season? I believe that it was 532 but happy to stand corrected. Another milestone that looks set to be beaten. Yeah 532. Or is it 3-5-2? Or 5-2...

Re: New deal for Donawa, Hatfield, Rivers, Holmes, Hedley, Reid, Storey , Campbell, Laing, Wheatley, Liddle, Watson,
It’s going to be a long season. The idea is to try and build a squad for it with appropriate cover and flexibility. We’ve all watched the game long enough to know that the starting XI on day one (whenever that may be) is usually quite different to that on the final day. There’s no doubt Alun will be...

Re: Boost the budget
28 investors short of last year's BTB and past the target looking better every day. Still time to invest. 532 last year and the number is the total number of pledges rather than pledgers, however that doesn’t detract from the point that once again as fans we’ve raised the bar even higher.

Re: Boost the budget
I think BTB works well and extending it may not help. The fact that it is for a limited period gives it some urgency and energy and if left open for longer it could lose some of that. If anyone wants to make a donation after the end of May I am sure the club will still be happy to here from you. :t...
