Re: Loan players
would be happy with that, from what i know he'll give us a different dimension to windass and thorpe as he's a smaller nippy lad but also with a decent build on him so he shouldnt be bullied too much by league 2 defences, hopefully he can have an impact like reddy & proctor did in league 2.

Re: 2-0 up
distinct lack of trialists tonight, i guess Todd must be spent up and hasnt got scope to bring much else to the club, convery must be nailed on to sign, if only to give us an option at right wing where we currently have no one. no vaisenen in the squad either, with plummer injured if he'd still been...

thats a good start, injured after 1 game, this season more than any other we need an injury free squad. mind you james is no big loss....

Re: Bridges
if we had the kind of money to bring in bridges, 2k a week at least i'd have thought, it'd be put to better use signing 3 players and padding our very threadbare squad out a little.

Re: Squad as it stands
Divas, is that the Vaisennen who we had a few years back? yes, after being released by Penney he moved back to Finland and then returned to England playing non-league with Spennymoor and working at Hedlam Hall as a gym instructor, while continuing his studies. Wikipedia reckons he returned to Finla...

Re: Favourite ever Darlo kit?
yep ditching Orange for the play-off final has did the club no favours, im pretty sure Orange would have got behind the club for a long time if they hadnt been so badly treated.

thinking about it myself, not too far to travel, plus havent seen any of the new lads yet and i'd expect there to be 1 or 2 trialists tonight.

Re: sorry, sorry, sorry......but
i expected that to happen from the start, smart move if you ask me, try and get people to get tickets early as there will be a decent crowd, then open it up to general admission a couple of days before so as to not lose out on any potential people turning up on the night/cant be arsed to buy tickets.

Re: Squad as it stands
with that current list in mind, it looks as tho we need to bring in at least another 3 or 4 players, a defender, midfielder and forward on season long loans would help out a lot. with no recognised right winger, convery must fancy his chances of being offered something. its a good first XI but under...

Re: Yan Klukowski
as far as i can gather he's actually English, or at least he's represented England schoolboys, altho he's been playing in the US for the last few years. i'd still like to see us take Mark Doninger on trial, young lad released from Newcastle, as far as i can see he's not cropped up anywhere else yet,...

Re: How many more new faces can we expect?
i think the lack of, and calibre of the few trialists we have - convery, vaisenen etc show we have very little left in the pot. if we can stay injury and suspension free, which is a massive if, especially as many of our first XI missed large parts of last season, then we may do okay. If we suffer wi...

Re: Big 3 Package?
the club have agreed contracts with the teams invited for friendlies that will not allow them to do this as the opposition take a cut of gate money. Hamilton must be excited by their share!! to be fair tho, what they do get will be almost pure profit as there'll be little outlay apart from tr...

Re: The New Permanent Home For The Uncovered Messageboard
id be wary of too many sub forums, i think all football banter in one, and one for off topic would probabaly suffice it'd be too much of a chew for some people to post in diff sections and would be a nightmare to moderate. one thing that i would welcome is the ability for threads to be merged, rival...

Re: Any ideas for the new site?
oh and id be interested in supplying some content for the new site if needs be, if there's anything in particular that needs doing player profiles etc let me know who for
failing that i would be interested in doing some ad-hoc articles throughout the season

Re: The Ticket Office today
nothing we can do until we come out of admin im afraid, its the same with all aspects of the club, i spoke to christine last week and she's run off her feet, its doubley difficult as not only do we have skeleton staff but we also have less time to sort things out before the season starts. that said,...

any chance of having quick reply box at the bottom of the thread rather than having to click reply and then write the reply
also you might want to have hyperlinks open in a new tab/window
