Re: Hartlepool match confirmed at BM

I’ll go along for the novelty factor of playing Hartlepool however I’m not overly fussed on it as a competitive game, but there will be fans on both sides that see it as a return of the rivalry. If it makes some money and goes off without any major incidents then I’ll be happy. My view too, will go...

Chatted to him in the bar yesterday and he repeated it’s very much he has to get back running his business with no distractions said he would still be attending games and help where he can.

Hmmm any candidates in mind from the local area? David Hodgson [/quote David Hodgson got a massive pay off and signed an NDA that’s why he has never commented on previous regimes and hasn’t attended BM apparently, Tempest has apparently worked for nothing for 4 years - make your own mind up!!

Re: John Tempest standing down

What s*** news to start the day he always appeared the glue that kept everything together. Can’t imagine it was the boo boys as I’ve seen him on many occasions go to them directly and calm them down. I doubt DJ will be hanging round so SG wil end up running the show as can’t see anyone stepping up. ...

Re: Sports Village (latest)

I’m sure DFC board will put the options out there soon with their recommendation then I’d imagine it will be for the DFCSG to do the same to the SG members which at present I believe is around 700 who will vote on either option.

Re: Ownership and Finance

Fundraising is simply not an option. 5 million pounds is 2,000 fans each investing 2,500 pounds. We have as much chance if those 2,000 fans put a pound a week each into a Euromillions syndicate. I've said before that some sort of syndicate might be a bit of fun for this site. Really like that idea,...

Re: Ownership and Finance

To change the Articles of the DFCSG then the members need to press the board on a vote of all the members. Until this is done it’s unlikely any one wishing to invest will come forward. Unless that happens I can’t see anything changing and we will flirt between NNL and league below. If the DFCSG had ...

Hopefully the confidence of a couple of wins and what the loanees bring will have improved the confidence within the whole squad, seeing Hughes back also a plus.

Reckon it will will be played at the Arena which begs the question if the SV takes off why not just go back there.

Re: Darlington v Hartlepool United

It’s eleven years since we played our main rivals if you can’t get excited about this then it’s just plain sad. I know loads of people who have lost interest in all things Darlo but are coming to this game, they are not thugs but old fans and if it gets them back then that’s great. Be interested to ...

A much better performance from the darlo team today, something to build on good game today ,as we created more than enough chances to at least get a point. Get behind the team on boxing day let us try to better 2200 fans and lift these young lads, helps them perform better with the fans behind them....

Re: Netcafe - 14 December 2018

To be honest some good answers from the netcafe very honest. To me it appears from the answers its obvious with the DFCSG board controlling all the finances we are never really going to progress but run the club at this or a level below. If we have ambition the DFCSG board need to look at bringing i...

That’s the reality of running a football club under our fans funded model. The board will live or die by their decisions. I’ve never seen John Tempest look so down, he’s always come across fairly chirpy but he’s also thick skinned, if he goes I can’t see Dave Johnson hanging round. Let’s hope the idiots haven’t ruined it as I can’t see anyone else stepping up.

I’m sure I read he was being scouted by Man U before a major injury a few years ago.
