See St Mirren played Sunderland and were beaten 6 - 0, and did not bring Heaton off the subs bench?

Re: TW Interview

I have enjoyed the pre season games and really looking forward to the Season ahead. I wonder what the team formation / players that TW will go with for the first game? We have played different formations and players so I have no idea as to his best team although I personally prefer the 442 (but I am...

Re: Mr Gray in todays NLP

At the beginning of our start in the lower leagues we were struggling financially, (certainly mentioned at the early AGM's), and were saved from difficulties by short term large loans from a small number of "fans" (one of these could have been MG for all I know). Getting the sell on money from forme...

Re: Eindhoven planning

Great place to visit, and excellent weekend, locals friendly, good food and bars, cracking craft brewery / bar and a pub like the Three Cranes in York (for those that know it:)), . Was really surprised at the number of fans that made the game as I thought we may be lucky to get 150 . Team played wel...

Whole Team played well tonight and had another three good chances. Good entertaining game. Bodes well for the season if they keep this up.

Re: How many to Eindhoven

I thought around 100 to 150 ( but happy to be wrong). I know a fair few fans who go to all away games but not going to this. If there is 400+ that would be awesome as long as they all can take there drink, be a credit to the town and enjoy the experience ( so we may be invited abroad for a friendly ...

Re: Temp Seats at HP

I may be out of kilter with most on here, but my personal preference would be to bring the seats to BM. Anything that improves viewing even in the short term may help improve the experience of floating fans (anything over 1800 fans and viewing is an issue I believe). The seats would be at least be t...

To be honest for both guys this would have meant that they were going to be late getting another...

Really enjoyed yesterday, good beer and company in the pub before and after game (excellent friendly pub to). I had also heard that Gray had been in touch with Galbraith, and that was why he had not already signed a contract. For me, if this is the case, (and it was only word of mouth so may be rubbish), then we should just let him go as he therefore is not committed to us, (although he has been an excellen...

Re: Darlington FC v Nuneaton Town

Thought that we played some excellent football at times yesterday With a fair few chances. Styche smashed one over the top when normally he would have buried it, Thommo just over run one before smashing it into side netting, Syres scored one ( offside ) and missed one of the easier chances (he cover...

Wow a bit harsh Darlogramps! To clarify the point that you took exception too, I talked to a fair few supporters when TW took over and they were expecting an instant improving bounce in results, (as often happens when a new manager takes over), and were not happy when it didn't happen. Conversely I ...

Re: Well done Tommy

Young Mitchell Glover could stand in for Wheatley from what I have seen. Vaulx for Heaton and either Portus or Collins for Trotman ( plus we have our previous right back Hunter on the road to recovery). It would be good to see the young lads get picked up from the V9 to be honest. Money into the ban...

I agree, I think the work he puts in, ground he covers and runs he makes into space go unrecognised as he does not do spectacular, just solid good all-around performances. We miss him as a team when not there. First name on the team sheet for me too, (along with a few others of course :) ).

Re: Coming soon - Boost the budget

Am I the only one that finds it funny this is not permanently on the Darlo homepage? Possibly good to promote this at Saturday and Wednesdays home games for a final push, pushing it over the broadcasts during the game, (including the radio broadcasts), and being sold positively for next season. Even...

Re: FCUM v Darlington Match Thread

I for one thoroughly enjoyed that. The whole team played like they wanted to win, (as opposed to Tamworth, Telford and Boston where we seemed to have lost that sparkle). No bad performances and lots of chances, (a few you would have bet on Styche scoring). It is a nice ground, the FC fans I met all ...

If you think about current positions York not in a good place, (lost tonight again), as chorley and blyth could overtake them if they win there games in hand. In fact if we had won at Telford, Tamworth and Boston ( all winable games to be honest when our team is on song) we would have been three poi...

To be honest with the weather I thought the gate was not too bad (although big impact on finances I agree), we need to remember the ground is not brilliant for poor weather days. The upstairs hospitality was packed and the 50/50 take excellent so the fans we have are fantastic. How we get back to 2k...

I doubled my monthly contribution this year over what I have running from last year (last years still running until end of June for me). Once last years runs out, may well consider increasing mine. Excellent start to this. When you consider that if we could get 1000 of our fans now just to commit to...

Re: Match away to Spennymoor? POSTPONED!

Saturday postponement was not only good due to the players getting back to fitness, with the weather as wet as it was we would have been lucky to get around 1000 fans in, a big hit on finances. Even if a night game is only 1300 it would be approx extra £3k in the bank and every penny counts for us.

Not sure you will be right Pete, don't think virgin will have paid big money as it will have been more about high profile for the club (publicity etc.) and the "benefits" to the supporters. I would love this as weekend away. Understand the issue raised about money but would have thought that this would be "extra money" that the club would otherwise not get. Would not be surprised if the players didn't mind putting some money in themselves to have this weekend. I would put a few quid in...

Re: Telford V Darlington FC match thread

Made late decision to go to game and stop over, booked hotel and made right decision to come over the m62 and m6. Unfortunatly game poor with Telford dominating most of the game and but for some poor finishing by them we could have gone in at half time a few goals down. Never created a chance during...
