Re: Fundraising Ideas

The 50/50 has been fantastic for the club, if Andy Clarke is agreeable maybe run it once a month until the season starts (in August hopefully) Gloriously simple idea. If Andy is up for it, why stop in August. Should be relatively simple to sell tickets on a laptop in the ground, but it means...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void

Why does Spen666 think we want to sign more players? "Certiorari or Mandamus as being potentially available" They are probably cup-tied & illegible for the Trophy (or am I not reading that write😉) If they are coming in from abroad, their hotel quarantine won't be over by the time of the Hornchurch ...

I don't recall seeing anything that justifies the comment in the Fylde statement that we plan to play in the Trophy but not in the league on Tuesday. As stated above, surely we are just doing what the league has asked us to do, which is fulfil our fixtures until the results of the votes are known. ...

Furloughing is indeed about protecting jobs. I was trying to address the moral issue of furloughing staff after turning down a loan.
But, if we take the loan, without the wherewithal to repay it, we would be trading illegally.

Bit of light relief from all the comfusing serious stuff. When you see TV adverts which involve people - usually towards the younger end of the age spectrum - watching football on TV, they are oftn shown wearing their club shirts. Does anyone 'dress up' to watch Darlo games on Quaker TV or other cl...

Watching a socially distanced game of Scrabble, with the board and pieces being constantly sanitised, might take more time than the season allows.

Re: Southport away postponed

The season needs to be extended. It’s that simple. They need to sit down and agree to basically push the season back at least a month, maybe longer, by eliminating a bunch of midweek games. Those midweek slots can then be used by the ever increasing amount of rearranged fixtures. I’d maybe argue we...
