Re: Weymouth V Darlington FC FA Trophy

Yes we did. Awful performance that day. Although this is a new Hornchurch as the team we played back then went under. Awful ground as well . Running track around the ground that day gave a very bad viewing experience. Although the performance from Darlo was not worth watching Lost 2-0 in Nov 2003. ...

Re: Spennymoor away

Can’t help thinking that if you could put the best of Spennymoor and the best of Darlington together you would have a really strong club that could be going places. Basically the best of Spennymoor is Uncle Brad and his cash and ambition. The best of Darlington is the passion and commitment of the ...

Re: Merry Christmas Quakers

I got to my first game on Boxing day where we came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2. I loved it and found the ground at Raccy Boro more than adequate. It felt like a Bury game and my passion for the team was just the same as it always was. The recent developments because of Covid make it look like the...

It's Foggitt every time! But don't worry as it's a Football League standard pitch with the best covers money can buy and postponements are a thing of the past. Premier league standard without under soil heating, problem with covers, a lot of snow will make it hard removing, the pitch is one of best...

Re: Merry Christmas Quakers

Well, when I last posted I was hoping things weren't far off being back to normality, how wrong I was. Still, Bury have made a strong start in the tenth tier and sit top of the league. Thus far we have had a 6-2 win a 5-1 win, a 3-2 home win on the opening day with two goals in injury time, and a 1...

Missed out on a home tie against Sheffield United. Marine v Spurs. Romance of the cup, jumpers for goalposts, John Motson's sheepskin coat, Ronnie Radford - shirt too small. Isn't it? Marvellous. Small boys sat on a wall, a couple of chairs pulled up by the side of the pitch, a header, a dive, an o...
