Re: Sporting Village

Another question is - where does this leave Darlington Rugby Club - could they potentially leave to go to this Rugby hub and Blackwell Meddows be left for football. Now that's an interesting thought! They own the club house and first team pitch... wonder how much they'd want for it... we can level ...

Re: Sporting Village

There's a lot of flapping on here and a HATE the victim mentality that some have taken. It would have been inappropriate for Mowden to release a statement mentioning the football club at this stage.

Is Sunderland the 1st team or a select XI? The article appears to suggest both.

Re: Temp Seats at HP

I made many comments prior to the ground being developed about more financially efficient designs taking a long term view, including moving the pitch away from the club house and building deeper stands (both seated and terrace) to ease future developments but we have what we have. Increasing the tin...

As shawry says, he has no risk currently. His debts are secured against the ground. It gets interesting when his debts pass the 75% mark of the value of the ground. That is when he is taking a risk, as his debts are no longer secure. If they perform next season as they did this season he will have d...

I'm disappointed that Portas has been released. I'd rate him as 2nd only to Wheatley in the midfield pecking order when he's fit, however I understand TW hasn't seen enough of him to risk keeping him.

My mate is a Newcastle season ticket holder. He missed Alan Shearer's record breaking goal because he was having a piss. He still get a reminder of it regularly.

Out of interest, were the charity bucket collectors on Saturday invited by either the football or rugby club?

I appreciate what Brown has done for the club but he is IMO too far down the pecking order at both CB and RB to justify keeping him next season. If he realises that his 1st team opportunities next season might be few and far between it wouldn't surprise me if he chooses to leave. Sent from my SM-G96...

To be fair to Loughlin, I presume his career is based on having access to both Victoria Park and H'pool's inner circle. Give the owner a hard time and access could be refused.

Well unless you can magic up some extra cash the only way of increasing fairness is changing the distribution of the current funding which has to result in some being better off and others being worse off than they currently are. There is no financial net gain but the increase in fairness and abili...

Had to keep counting that they only had 11 players on the pitch. This has been the case so often this season. It’s often been like watching 11 v 7. I do think Joe Wheatley looked sharp and showed desire today so he deserves a mention. Unfortunately we were again carrying Gillies for the majority of...

To use it in an example: Total amount given to clubs in a league is £100,000, (X=100,000). Under a new agreement £20,000 is given to clubs in total for the travel subsidiary, some clubs would get thousands, others would get hundred, depending on their travel obligation, but the total is £20,000, (Y...
