Re: Holness returns

makes complete sense for both the player and the club. Don't hold hostilities against him for trying to better himself. I'm not one of these fans that think every player should be committed to Darlo FC 100% as if nothing else in life matters. In terms of the club, we need cover in midfield and he fi...

Re: Leamington game off

Its a shame for those involved wish them well. On another note gives some of our injured players a bit more time for recovery. And the house of cards starts to collapse. We need to hope we don’t get the same issue before the cup game and need to forfeit it. Wow!.What a ray of sunshine you are.Dont ...

Re: Kidderminster Saturday October 10th

They got beat comfortably by Marine at the weekend and have otherwise won one league game (drawn two). Have to approach it in the right way but should comfortably win if we perform. Didn't we get beaten easily the game before Walsall? Perhaps taking the foot off the gas ready for the 'bigger game'....

Re: Update Required?

I would guess a few people are saying we've not heard much from the club because: a) We've had two Saturdays where we've not been told anything about friendlies. I've heard nothing from a week last Sat, and heard a rumour that we played Poolies reserves on Sat b) We no longer have a dedicated news f...

Re: Latest friendly

Thought we were cruising at 2-0 then we dropped off and gave away stupid goals. Not massively worried but my only concern is we haven’t had arguably our strongest back 4 play together. Storey or Laing haven’t played at all yet.

Re: Fixtures out 1pm Tue 8th Sep

Starting to get worried that we might not get too far this season. Around 6 northern league games cancelled and a few in the midlands I believe. Couple of city players have it, it’s coming back again

Re: Latest friendly

Massively encouraged by the highlights of the boro game. Looked like we had plenty of chances. I think Charman looked particularly sharp. I think most expected that maguire would be the main man, but its hard to say. Trying not to get too excited about the squad but it looks really good. Noticed tha...

Re: Pre-season friendlies

Thought we might have a few lined up by now. Looks like Spenny are doing a seaside tour with Marske Whitby and Bridlington. Yes I thought we might have announced some. Wondering whether they will allow fans, or whether we can stream for £ (which I’d be happy to do), or like Blyth and stream for fre...

Re: Watch "Goals: Fleetwood Town v Darlington" on YouTube

Some poor defending for their goals, but that’s expected at this stage. I heard ‘Cole’ during the highlights as well but I’d suggest that it’s his first name. You don’t hear the managers shout ‘Rivers’ or ‘Liddle’. Couldn’t find anyone that I’m aware of called Cole

Re: Pre-season friendlies

Thanks Fleetwood for the reality check. We need more games to give us time as a unit playing against some decent sides to hone ourselves. Players need to build up on-the-field trust and understanding of each other and how they fit into AA's scheme. Reality check? Eh, how.. We've trained twice and t...

By the sounds of what was said on social media, they are much further along in their pre-season (especially considering we've had 1 training session to my knowledge, maybe 2). We did manage to carve them open a couple of times. Looking forward to watching the highlights. No idea where we are in term...

He was a good keeper when he wasn’t over 40. Disastrous in his brief cameo at Hartlepool last season Still you have to think he’ll be a great signing for them as long as he’s fully committed of course. I see no movement on this front, can only assume it's going to be a season long loan now, Time ticking down to restart the season, I will be going if allowed wearing a mask and social distancing. Think it’s been mentioned a few times that AA said he’s looking at trialists in pre-season. Plenty are ...

Great thanks - I had just noticed that some of the teams in our league had started to return to training.
Plenty have had friendlies. Let’s hope they’ve come back too early

Re: Incoming goalkeeper

agree with Gramps on the subject. Unfortunately it's a topic that gets repeated over and over again. I tend to base an opinion if the shoe was on the other foot. If we were in boro's position, then I see no reason why he should stay on loan. The only thing I perhaps don't fully understand is why he ...

Re: FA Cup

Good news that the FA are running the FA Cup as normal next year. Had been fears they'd try and reduce the qualifying rounds to make up for the late start. 889 teams have applied to take part, with only 736 places, meaning draws will take place to establish which Step 6 sides enter (previously woul...

Interesting to see AA mention that he’s looking at signing a keeper, an attacking midfielder and striker. Biggest hint that Atkinson is likely to be first choice RB

If Mowden go bust there's a stadium we can probably buy for a quid! Not that we could realistically afford to run it.

It might get demolished and we might be able to use some of the land, you never know. Anyone got a spare £10 million?
10m doesn't last long sometimes, just tell that to Mowden
