Re: Peter Peter Gibson

You are assuming he had not already been in touch with the club which may not be the case. Peter Gibson has always responded quickly to any emails I have sent. He also responded with phone calls when needed for further feedback. I will be honest and say I don't like or trust Tories Tory MPs and/or ...

Hi, It quite sure how this all works, we are trying to curb the amount of bots that post on here. There are many a day and most are stopped if there is a link on it. I will approve your mardenborough post now. But this sharks post has links in so the security isn’t working as I would expect. Will e...

I’m just wondering how this post managed to be added to the forum whereas I was told a post I tried to add on Saturday about Stevie Mardenborough required moderator approval to be added and which still hasn’t appeared :eh:

The last time I looked they had played three and won three.

I saw the name and thought “That can’t be the Nicky Hunt who played for Bolton and was one of the skinniest footballers I’ve ever seen” but I’ve just seen that he is the very same.

Blimey!

I can’t believe that Arnison miss.

I’d always thought it was Midgely that missed but was it him that didn’t stick his foot out to turn it in?

Re: The UK as it will look in the future

The U.K. government has an easy response to SNP clamour for another referendum.

2m+ Scots voted to stay in the U.K. in 2014. The SNP received 1.25m votes in the General Election. That difference needs to be a lot smaller before another referendum is seriously considered.

Re: The UK as it will look in the future

Did you miss the bit where I said the SNP can ask for a referendum but there is no onus, moral or otherwise, for the government to give them one. And I also did not say 50% is what is required for a referendum. I said it was the minimum before one should “even be considered”. If you’re going to both...

Re: General Election 2019

I do think that young adults that are beginning there working lives, will have to work until there mid 75's before they can draw a state pension. What a good little Tory you are, whilst you retire at 65 with a state pension and a council pension is it? I've had to recently take on a mortgage, so I ...

Re: The UK as it will look in the future

I didn't say there would be. I said that the SNP make a pretty valid argument for another one. - Do you deny that Scotland voted by a larger majority to remain in the EU than the whole of the UK voted to leave. So by definition for the ruling party in Scotland to attempt to remain is a stronger man...

Re: The UK as it will look in the future

The SNP received 45% of the vote in Scotland, and that includes the votes of people who want to remain part of the U.K. There is no mandate for another Scottish independence referendum. Conservative received votes of people who voted to remain in the EU - there is no mandate for a no deal brexit. C...

Re: General Election 2019

The thing is, even if the Tories win, I’ll still be depressed about the number of people who voted for Corbyn.

It’s like when everyone votes for what to eat and a Curry wins, but you can’t enjoy it because you know the second most popular meal was you.
