Re: The home of DFC

Bit of a clash next week, we're at home to Brackley and England kick-off against Ireland at I think 16-30. It'll be interesting to see, if we're made welcome in the bar at half-time? DP you are full of s*** the 6 nations are equivalent to the euros or world cup embrace where we are instead of moani...

Re: When is the next fans forum

With the unrest of some of the fan base with the perceived treatment of DFC by DRFC I think it's pertinent that they are able to get some assurances to quell fears before a funding drive is launched otherwise there's a high chance it won't succeed. It's not quite as simple as asking for fans to han...

Another good deal by the club looking after fans - well worth joining the DFCSG.

Re: The home of DFC

The parking problem was sorted within a couple of weeks so no blame just a learning curve for all concerned. All I can say it was great to see the bar full before and after the game today where both clubs earn out of the relationship. It sounds like both clubs are talking and listening to each other...

Re: Club accounts

Lots of wish list things here. Let's just remember we are back in Darlington, crowds are up and hospitality apparently being used well. Let's build on the basics and not get beyond us and approach things on a proper fiscal manner. Without a rich benefactor we have to be realistic and remember that t...

Re: The home of DFC

It all seems a bit of a fuss over nothing to me. Let's just be patient, rather than jumping to be at the rugby club and pointing the finger. Facilities, the club have said they're taking feedback on board. I do hope some is sourced from here, as it's largely been constructive. Things like catering ...

Really enjoyed today bar was buzzing with people I haven't seen in a long time, prices the same as Rugby fans are charged and toilets were much better without segregation. Apart from the result the service was much improved, so looking forward to next Saturday.

The next few games there will be no segregation which will open up the toilets in the away end and I've been told a large concession unit will be in place.

Re: Pints at ground

The Rugby Club do have a licence but with all the effort on the changing rooms and a Xmas shutdown I'd imagine the marquee will be ready over next two weeks as the RC are keen to get it sorted.

Re: BM latest pics..?

I see on the latest photos that they have lowered the height of the fence immediately in front of the seats. Now I may be wrong here, but will this solve the obstructed view problem? I appreciate you want to look straight out onto the pitch, but we also tend to move our heads left and right, so won...

Re: Blackwell bar now open to Season Ticket Holders?

Yep, me and two others will be going back to our old haunt in Darlington..The money saved on each of us not joining the Quaker club will pay our taxi from the pub to the ground. You only coming to 4 games then? £20 to join Quaker club - 11 games x£5 tax = £55 Once DRFC can handle numbers I can see ...

Re: Car parking at BM

Totally agree with Quakerz what's wrong with walking, there is lots of off street parking off Southend Avenue, Blackwell Lane, Hartford Road all a 6-7 minute walk away and town is only a ten minute walk away, Feethams never had any parking but perhaps we were all fitter in those days!!

Re: Pre Blackwell Meadows beers

I think people are forgetting that the Rugby Club are putting up a marquee which will hold up to 200. Also I'd imagine for the first game DRFC members will turn up to make a point it's their club but after that I'd doubt they will appear again hence DFC can look at increasing numbers in the downstai...

Ralph the owner of 22s really doesn't like football fans so can't see any colours allowed in there. You are better off trying the Blackwell Grange bar.

Re: Blackwell capacity

A 3000 capacity is more than enough after things settle down after the first few games them if we are getting 2-2.5k that would be a huge increase on current attendance. Lots of people and companies say they will support Darlo once we return let's see if they actually do.

No it wasn't the club has sold season tickets based on people expecting us to have moved into the ground by the August Bank Holiday. So when it's not going to happen people are naturally going to be concerned. Lack of updates from the club hasn't helped matters. The delay wasn't the clubs fault but...

So existing 5 year season ticket holders need to get a replacement? I think the premise of the 5 years was that you have a season ticket for 5 seasons not necessarily that it was the same ticket that lasted for 5 seasons.[/quote Well it should of to be fair because it would of saved on cost of repr...
