Re: Guiseley v Darlington
Laing has had a steady game so far as well though not had much to do. Holness off injured now Rivers on Thought Holness was having a good match. We're so much better with a midfield 3 of Wheatley, Hatfield and Holness, in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 yeah agree with that Wheatley MOTM for me Not a sentence you wo...

Re: Alfreton V Darlington
The fact that Alfreton played midweek was pivotal here. Halfway through the second half they visibly faded and couldn’t maintain their hard physical tactics. Credit to our players who kept on going, as it was a bruising encounter. Also, what is going on at Alfreton. Their support was terrible for a...

For what it’s worth, not that I have to justify any of my comments, I thought we were excellent from start to finish against York, but some of us have other things to do on Boxing Day apart from check fans forums. If I had seen the same closing down of players, winning nearly every second ball, ene...

I'd be tempted to change a couple of things for York, maybe bring in Wheatley and Kokolo. I'd also like to see how Nelson and Ainge pair up, if a) we keep Nelson longer and b) if Ainge is ever fully fit. Ainge fully fit …. yeah right Keep Headless Harvey as No.9 - close down from the front Kokolo i...

Re: Am I the only one - balanced view
You're right. For me the lowest point was in the 1972 season (I think) when Mansfield ran riot and put seven past us at Feethams. Peter Graham had to comfort our (young local) keeper who was almost in tears at the end. We were in a very bad run of form. Wasn't it Southport who banged 7 past us at h...

You can talk about formations until the cows come home but it doesn’t make a blind bit of difference if players aren’t doing the basics Quite. Genuinely disappointed about Brown. A great servant to the club. Perhaps in terms of ability he'd hit his ceiling, but we'll miss his leadership qualities. And of course he stepped up to the plate as caretaker boss after the Atkinson-Gregan fiasco. He'll be missed. This for me as well. Players with...

Galbraith put in a decent shift today, being regularly exposed by Shields' counter attacks. Agree that Burgess still carrying an injury, so Vaulks should have got the nod.
