Re: Once the dust settles...

I'd like the club to commit that all the btb will go exclusively to building a competitive playing budget. Last week I spoke to a town planner from Darlington BC. He is well aware of the club needing a new ground, but understandibly he wouldn't elaborate on what is happening. But I take it that nego...

Re: So who do you want to be relegated Blyth or Farsley>

I guess most people on here would prefer Blyth to stay up. But personally I think Farsley would be far less of a threat next season and I think Blyth could offer a lot more competition for players in this region, especially if they get this new investor on board. Read the room Pete. I honestly don'...

Re: Rugby League

Not sure if it's a shock as Widnes thump St.Helens at St.Helens 8 - 31

So the semi-final draw is Hull KR v Wigan & Huddersfield v Warrington

Re: Rugby League

Well that was a shock yesterday Huddersfield thumping Catalan in the South of France 6 - 34. No surprises in the Castleford/Wigan game as a very comfortable win for Wigan 6 - 60. Hull KR also won, but were made to struggle by Leigh before finally winning 26 - 14. So there's one semi final place as S...

Have to admit I am quietly confident of a positive result today, we are in good form, Farsley are in poor form.

Re: Rugby League

Challenge Cup Quarter Final's this weekend. To me 3 of the ties look clearcut, but the St.Helens v Warrington game could be close as Warrington have a habit of winning at their old rivals.

Re: Darlington v Farsley 13/04/24

Do Farsley ever bring that many to away games? Anyone No is the simple answer. They struggle to get supporters for home games. I would be surprised if they don't bring a couple of hundred, given they won their last game and the importance of this one. I was reckoning we'd just get over 2k, but give...

Great to see our link up with Teesside University, it looks and sounds like we are running a very professionally run physio team, which is way better than pretty well every club playing at our level. Great interview and full of very useful info.

Re: Darlington V Southport

Brilliant performance today, we made an in form side look very ordinary. Never heard the MOTM or crowd announced as per usual. But in my humble opinion I thought Tom Platt was immense and deserved MOTM, although Cedric Main was terrific as well. Crowd looked around 1800, hopefully we'll get over 200...

Re: Rugby League

Good performance by Wigan last night, if not startling. To pick Junior Nsemba as MOTM, when he was only a substitute and has hardly featured in any games this year, just goes to show the strength and depth of the Wigan squad. 2 of tonight's games should be fairly predictable, but the Leeds v Warring...

Re: Darlington V Southport

It's meant to be around 17degrees at game time on Saturday. The strong winds will be from the South, so across the pitch rather than from one end to the other. So hopefully it won't spoil the game.

Wow I'm watching True Detective 4, with Jodie Foster in the title role. I think this series is as good as the original True Detective.

Great to see that Bevan French has signed a contract extension for a further 4 years at Wigan. That was on top of Matty Peet and his assistants signing 7 year contract extensions.

Thought we were really poor throughout most of the game, second best all over the park. Poor goalkeeping for the first 2 goals, especially the second one. Really beginning to fear for our chances of staying up. SW has got a real job for lifting the team for Monday's game at Warrington.

Re: Nice bit of trivia

I've just watched a bit of Airdreonians beating TNS in the Scottish Challenge Cup!! Then I ended up looking at National League South and Taunton and Truro have so many games to play as they've been sharing Taunton's pitch. I can't believe Truro are playing at Gloucester now. That's a 400 mile round...
