Re: Tonight's results Tuesday January 21st 2020

I get irritated when people post long sentences without commas but just for you no commas in my sentence. It won't last though!!!

Re: Trotman joins villa

Proud to say I've never had the displeasure of watching the programme. But great move for Luke & further excellent publicity for the club. I just feel that the potential WAGS probably have no idea where Darlo is & if they come to BM, they'll be very underwhelmed, as it's not exactly Premier League s...

Re: Contracts

That doesn't quite tie in with what he said when he arrived... that he was in it for the long haul and it was long-term project. Only Pete could be forecasting the end of the AA era after it has only just really begun! Spoke to somebody last Saturday, who talks to AA & more or less said what I said...

Re: Tonights fixtures

The thing is, there is a massive Elephant in the room. It’s really big and just sat there doing nothing, and it is - where do we play if we get promoted? How much will it cost? How will it be paid for? Armstrong and his players left Blyth because their chairman put a lid on their footballing ambiti...

Re: Guiseley

If we get to the playoffs, I doubt any side would fancy playing us. Even if they are at home, with our away support we'd make them feel like they were the away team.

Re: Contracts

Just like the 5 year contract prevented Gray leaving us. Absolutely they seem pretty worthless. Supporting AA and matching his ambitions is the most effective way of keeping him. Yes I fear that if AA doesn't get the support to match his ambitions for the club, he will with reluctance move on. In t...

Re: Tonight's results Tuesday January 21st 2020

Saturday will be tough, as we've played midweek, so we'll probably be a bit tired, against a rested team. I'd be delighted with a draw.

Re: Contracts

We do need to be careful, as we don't know which league we will be in. Certainly the management team do need & deserve to be offered improved contracts.

Re: Guiseley

Excellent team performance tonight. The team played at times some sublime football & Guiseley were chasing shadows. Great to see Hatfield celebrating scoring the winner. Also superb support, with probably over 300 making the trip.

Re: Tonights fixtures

Boston scored a late goal to win 1-0, not sure if that is a good or bad result for us.

Leamington drew at home 0-0 to Gateshead, which is a decent result for us.

Re: Guiseley

Not sure what the best result would be in the Boston v Brackley game tonight. If the results go our way we could be up in 5th place after tonight's games, although on balance a draw in the Boston v Brackley game would probably suit us best.

The Station pub at Guiseley is a good place for a pre-match drink, only a couple of minutes walk from the ground.

Would take a couple of draws in our next away games v Guiseley & Chester
I reckon 4 points are achievable from the next 2 games. We have a lot of momentum at the moment. The only fly in the ointment is our makeshift defence, which could be found out.

Looks like we'll have to make do with the makeshift defence we have at the moment, as I'd have expected if we were going to bring in a left back for tomorrow evening, something would have happened today.

I think he was there for 3 years & was certainly player of the season at least once, so he should get a good reception after giving them 3 years service.

I live between Darlington & Barney & I'm definitely going tomorrow evening. I might be able to pick you up from the Barney area, but I may be taking someone from Stockton & if I do I won't be able to take you. Hopefully I'll know either way later on this evening & I'll let you know. Really looking f...

Re: Today's results Saturday January 18th 2020

I'm so glad we won against Alfreton, some teams in our division try to play watchable football but unfortunately they don't - and a mini shout out to HarryChartonsCat who predicted mid September that "The league season is over as far as play-offs are concerned". I'm not having a pop here Harry but ...

Re: Lambert leaves

Listening to AA talking to Ray Simpson after the match, AA said he hoped to bring in a left back, so I think this is a case of balancing the books, although I doubt we were having to pay anything for lambert to play for us.

Thought today was a great performance, quality first goal by Campbell. Thought our defence was excellent, considering it was a makeshift formation. Thought Reid had a great game in the heart of defence in the second half. Can't wait for Guiseley on Tuesday evening, hope we get plenty of people going...

The problem that the rugby world cup has, is that they're are only 3 teams that have the potential to win the world cup & that is England, New Zealand & the overwhelming favourites Australia. For a strong tournament you need a tournament were the potential winners number more than 3 & the rest of th...
