Re: Fantasy NFL, anyone?
Have to admit I'm gutted, didn't expect us to lose & why we didn't go for that on 4th down I'll never know. I hope Tampa Bay win the Superbowl.

Re: Fantasy NFL, anyone?
Pete looks like the packers might go all the way. Yep I'm really confident, can't see Tampa Bay fancying the frozen tundra of Wisconsin. Rodgers is way ahead of anybody else & the defence has really stepped up as well in recent weeks. I'm wearing my Packers winter coat & I also have the yellow & go...

Surely that'll mean the end of the season, unless the season is extended by probably a month.

Re: Season at risk of finishing early
If the season is ended, what happens to ST holders & 500 club members. It will put the club in a very difficult position. Would any/ many fans want their money back. Think at this level and below the vast majority if not all fans regard the need of their club as being bigger than theirs. A more con...

Re: Rugby League
It's a sad state of affairs when the decision will be based on conversations with Sky, it shows that Sky is now the principal force in RL & they are pulling all the strings. I still think the popularity of a Newcastle Magic Weekend, would dissipate if it was decided to play at Kingston Park, rather ...

Re: Rugby League
Kingston Park would not be bog enough for the Magic Weekend, even if crowds are allowed to return as normal. SL fans would not be keen on having to get a bus or metro out to the suburbs. The whole idea of the Magic Weekend is to hold it in a city centre, where fans can meet & socialise,

Re: Blackwell Meadows Signage
Personally my only issue with BM is the pipe. Remove that from the equation (which I believe you can for a cost) and I actually think it has great potential and a good location to be developed into a FL standard ground. I'm sure Scott Thornberry said that was an absolute non starter. I think Scott ...

Re: Rugby League
SL is in talks with Newcastle United about moving the date of the Magic Weekend. Personally I'd be happy if it was held over the summer, which will give a chance for us to get beyond all of the covid 19 issues. But realistically I think they'll struggle to run the event this year. https://www.bbc.co...

Re: 2 new loan signings
Does this mean we expect the season to continue, as it would be daft to sign players on loan & then the season abruptly ends?

Re: Goal celebrations
It's very hard I'd imagine not to get carried away in the heat of the moment. You'd think Sheff Utd players would have been very excited, as they don't score many this season!!

https://nonleaguedaily.com/no-care-in-the-world-for-anyones-safety-southport-boss-watson-urges-decision-makers-to-call-it-quits-on-season/ Interesting read from Liam Watson the Southport manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Good read. Nothing to disagree with in that excellent article.

Great chance of reaching the quarter finals, it's good that we avoided all the National League sides left in the competition.

Even more amazing is that he's an Englishman. Traditionally our best skiers have nearly always come from Scotland. Used to take my kids to a summer race series at Rossendale Ski slope over in Lancashire & I'm pretty certain that Dave Ryding used to take part.

It was great to see Dave Ryding got a mention on the BBC news last Sunday evening. He did well again today skiing from 15the after the first run, up to 7th after the second run.

I'm sure Hereford aren't too happy either, a midweek trip to Darlo is a long long way. Today's win doesn't help the fixture backlog either.

Well Trump has been impeached for a second time, sadly I think this will just generate a lot more problems than it will solve. I can see some real troubles ahead.

Re: Democracy under threat.
Things are in a bad way & there are no easy solutions. I can't see what impeaching Trump is going to do. It will just add fuel to the fire of his supporters. Just let Biden take over & start to build bridges, rather than Trump trying to knock them down. I just hope that this is the end of Trump & he...

Re: Dave the rocket Ryding
Great to see Dave Ryding came from 8th after the first run, to finish 3rd & only 0.01 of a second from coming second. Fantastic display & a great credit to British Skiing, especially when we don't have the mountains to train on.
