Re: The Bottom Ten, Saturday Apr 13th 2024, Staying Up Edition

Oops, I had initially left Matty Cornish out, his contribution was hugely important also, his worldy at Blyth helping us to win that game.

The Bottom Ten, Saturday Apr 13th 2024, Staying Up Edition

Staying up, Staying Up, Staying Up In the Bottom Ten, April 13th, Staying up wins for Peterborough, Southport and Darlington. Another week of worry for three teams who are still not guaranteed to stay up. Rushall; for them to go down, next week needs to be a nightmare scenario, loss 0-5 home to Warr...

The Bottom Ten, Tuesday Apr 09th 2024

In the Bottom Ten, April 9th, with big wins tonight for King’s Lynn, Peterborough and Rushall. From 15th to 21st position, I’m not sure if anyone is completely secure, too many combinations to figure it all out. King’s Lynn and Peterborough on 55 points are probably safe as Blyth and Farsley on 50 p...

Re: The Bottom Ten, Saturday Apr 06th 2024

I hope I don't have to add the status of ground improvements, who has waivers, extensions and certifications, who's half built stand looks ready to fall down to my updates!!! Anyway, here is the form from February 10th to today, why we are in with a shout of surviving and why Blyth or Farsley could ...

Re: When Watson and Mitchell took over…

From Feb 10th to today, why it's now bunched together at the bottom. The bottom strugglers like Darlington, King's Lynn and Rushall reeled in teams above them, only Gloucester at the bottom did not respond with a large points haul and got left behind. Bishop's Stortford in February looked relegated....

The Bottom Ten, Saturday Apr 06th 2024

In the Bottom Ten, April 6th, with four games involving eight Bottom Ten teams, was always likely to have some big consequences, and that turned out to be true, there were big wins today for Darlington, Rushall and Farsley. From 15th to 21st position, no one is secure, after the games coming up on T...

Re: Darlington V Southport

1 of 7 teams could end up going down. Next Saturday is massive for us. I feel sorriest for Ginge. He's never had so much work to do. I would sooner be in this position of so much work than where we (Quakers fans) were in December. I was not getting up by 7:00am on a cold Saturday morning in Califor...

Re: The Bottom Ten, Monday Apr 01st 2024

Hi JE93, It looks like Farsley, they should be feeling pretty desperate at this time, probably low on confidence, and they have the next three games, twice against Peterborough, then here at Blackwell Meadows to turn it around. When the chasing pack caught them, with Southport winning and Farsley lo...

The Bottom Ten, Monday Apr 01st 2024

In the Bottom Ten, big wins today for Peterborough, Rushall and Darlington. King’s Lynn probably thought they were going to reach safety on 54 points with a 3-0 first half home lead over Scarborough, but they conceded four second half goals to lose 3-4. King’s Lynn’s loss and Blyth’s loss coupled wi...

If we don`t get anything on Monday at Warrington then i think we can be added to Farsley or Rushall on goal difference
I'm starting to think that way myself

The Bottom Ten, Tuesday Mar 26th 2024

Southport had the big result tonight, winning 4-1 at Bishop’s Stortford to now be 8 points clear of fourth bottom Rushall. A disappointing night for Peterborough who failed to win any home points with a loss to Warrington. Banbury also lost and are mired in a nine game losing streak. On to Good Frid...

The Bottom Ten, Saturday Mar 23rd 2024

Nobody changed places in the Bottom Ten today, Blyth, King’s Lynn, Peterborough and Southport pulled one point away from Farsley and Darlington who lost. Darlington had today’s worst result as they had Rushall beat them. The bottom four has not changed, the gap to fifth bottom Darlington is now two ...

The Bottom Ten, Tuesday Mar 19th 2024

The Quakers don’t have a fixture backlog so tonight they had to watch the scores of two games that did us no favours. It was no surprise King’s Lynn beat Bishop’s Stortford, but Blyth who were struggling for wins have now won two straight with their win over Buxton. The bottom four has not changed, ...

It’s a funny old game. When it looked Blyth were sliding towards relegation having not won in ten games, they go to Bottom 10 rivals Southport and win 3-2. Elsewhere In the Bottom Ten, there were big wins for King’s Lynn who rallied from behind to beat Rushall, and Darlington who beat Peterborough 1...

Re: The Bottom Ten, Tuesday Mar 12th 2024

Only disagreement is I think Kings Lynn will drop instead of Blyth. The Bottom Ten results as Peterborough and Farsley are seeing their comfortable gap with the teams below them shrink. Peterborough are added simply because Southport have caught them on 48 points. 14th place Buxton are on 54 pts, too far up the table for anyone else to feel threatened about being re...

The Bottom Eight, Tuesday Mar 03rd 2024

The Bottom Eight results were great for the three winners tonight, Southport, Rushall and Darlington. Darlington’s huge 4-0 victory over Scunthorpe in second place was the biggest result of the night, the Quakers are in the bottom four on goal difference only, behind King’s Lynn who did not play. The Bottom Seven results were good for the two winners today, King’s Lynn and Darlington. Darlington beating Banbury to now put them tied on 37 points, Darlington's three wins in seven days will add a calm confidence to them for their Tuesday night’s game home to Scunthorpe. The Bottom Seven, Tuesday Feb 27th 2024

A great win for the Quakers tonight, their first back-to-back wins of the season. The confidence in the squad should be high going into Saturday’s game home to Banbury. Does Steve Watson keep a similar team lineup?, using goalscoring super-sub Andrew Nelson for 30 mins to go at a tired defense. The ...

Hi, I’ve been quiet because it’s been a frustrating season, it was hard to write something as there were just struggles, nothing to project going forward. We can't get to sixth mathematically that I can see, but we can be seventh. This would be a really wild set of results with a ll of teams finishing tied on 67 points.
