Re: Tom Kaak
Didn’t we sign a Dutch keeper at roughly the same time? Frank Van De Geest, mentioned in the article I think! Yes, and he was excellent from what I remember, but sods law we had Collett at the time so he only really got a few cup games. I think Kaak has a bit of cult status as he was the first of t...

Re: Board Statement 15 Feb
To then switch the lights back on for a chance at Wembley does not particularly sit right (unless Step 2 becomes N&V before the tie is played). Conversely. If we have cut our costs by furloughing (I think DJ mentioned we have in an interview the other day with another club chairman) then there is a...

Watched 'It's a Sin' on channel 4 last night, really good drama. Pretty dark but humerous in places.

Disappointing that the purple has not made the final, hopefully we have a sash home and away!

Re: Away kit vote
There was a pink and purple number a couple of seasons ago that was great and lost out to a boring black and red hoop. This could be a chance for revenge!

Away kit vote
Purple one is my favourite, with the orange sashed one as my second choice. Nice to have some symmetry with the home and away kits.
Same broken hooped design but in red rather than white, and the same 'lattice' design as op4 for the home kit but in orange.

Re: Home Kit Vote
On social media there's an awful lot of crying going on about this kit. To be honest the more I see it, the more I like it and depending on how much I like the away top, I'm definitely getting one .

Re: Home Kit Vote
I've been busy selling my loft contents in eBay whilst the debate has filled five pages. I think it's quite something that the fans get to vote for the shirt design and I feel an open vote may have been abused. Citeh and Palace looked quite fetching in a sash style shirt and I'm not sure the histor...

Re: Weymouth V Darlington FC FA Trophy
Who was Morgan? Wasn't that game one of the first after Hodgson returned in the great escape administration season? Looking at that line up makes the job he did seem even more incredible. Aside from Maddison, Conlon, Clark and Clarke that team was non-league standard when you look back. Sent from m...

Did we lose to Hornchurch some years back in the FA Cup? Maybe around 2003/04?

Re: Home Kit Vote
As for the vote and who gets to vote, I can see why it's done that way and it's fine with me (I would say that, as I get a vote), but plenty of clubs don't allow their fans a vote on the kit at all, so even if it's a limited pool of voters it's still more of a fan-perk than many get. Difference is ...

Not a huge fan of any of the options, but the sash gets my vote, something a bit different and quite a classic style as far as kits go. They should have always just postponed last season and finished it off at leisure this season.
There's a genuine chance we'll end up with two half-finished seasons when they could've just completed one.

Your not getting it Joma maydo upto 4xl but there actual sizing is well off. For a Xxl they give a 44 - 46" chest which would normally be a Large in mens clothing. Im normally a XXL which should be a 50 - 52" chest. Clothing these days ain't tailored too lets say the more rounded guys [emoji1787] I...

With an owner like Brad Groves, Spenny will need a couple more promotions before they can ever be considered as having a level playing field.onewayup wrote:Have they levelled the playing surface, it's better than it was but nowhere near level,

Re: New kit manufacturer
Some ridiculously dramatic reaction to this news over on twitter. Personally I couldn't really care less on who makes our kit as long as the profit margin is there for the club and there's a couple of nice designs. I like the Cruz Azul away kit which is kind of hoops (albeit blue and white) and if a...

We're not drawing comparisons between Minter and Wharton because they both happen to be goalkeepers and black are we?

He became a lot more physical to make up for the fact he was less mobile. What never changed was his right-foot and how well he struck a ball!

Saltmer clearly called "Johnny's" as he came out ahead of their first goal - whether he'd have got their or not who knows but he did the right thing coming for it. Not sure what Campbell was doing for their second, didn't seem to make any effort to get goal side of his man and ran outside him instea...

People who bang on about his cheating, and the handball against England, would do well to watch that game back and remind themselves if the thuggery he was subjected to by the England team.
Incredible player who was brilliant to watch.

Re: Team v BPA
It's a tough balance. I can see the argument for prioritising both. Luckily I think with the squad we have, there's a number of options that don't significantly weaken the side - although I'd be nervous about leaving out both Wheatley and Hatfield at the same time. Otherwise is there anyone where yo...
