Re: FA Cup replays scrapped from R1 in 24/25
Spyman, personally I think that's a terrible idea. That's basically turning the Cup into a money making system. Little club moves fixture to bigger club, bigger club has even more advantage, little club makes a bit of extra cash. Surely most fans wish to see bigger clubs compete on their home turf,...

Re: Steve Watson - 2 year contract confirmed
Good feeling about Boost the Budget... We need to set a target that will give the management sufficient funds to get into play-offs. £200,000 to £250,000. We are the owners and need to dig deep. Every year we congratulate ourselves on how much we raise in BTB. Very commendable but not enough, the m...

Re: Nathan Liddle- Physio update
Interesting that Watson has well and truly binned off Asante if squad is all fit. Sums up Gowling’s signings perfectly Also mentioned training being a big factor - I would imagine both him and Siddik aren't giving it full pelt due to their recent (and recurring) injuries and thus not giving SW much...

Re: Darlington V Chorley
Rivers is fine to bring on for 20 minutes if you have a lead and you just need someone to keep the ball but his influence when starting games is minimal. You cant have been there on saturday then, Rivers was one of the few that had a good game and also played Main through for the first goal. :crazy...

Here’s a positive. Young will be back in goal on Friday. I watched the live stream yesterday and my Taylor related, penalty box stress syndrome returned, big time. And it’s taken me quite sometime to get over this condition - and if I suffer from it, imagine how the Darlo defenders feel...

Lets hope for a better result than when we last played at Rushall.
Last game of the promotion year 2015/6 on the back of the memorable 7-1 game at Whitby.
A totally unmemorable 1-0 defeat in a game marred by some of our drunken scum that caused trouble at Salford that year as well.

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports
Me personally I would go full strength at Rushall and hopefully get the win which realistically barring a complete capitulation would see us pretty much safe. Then I'd be giving a day off to the likes of Barrow, Main, Cornish in the Chorley game. That is the one remaining game where the players sti...

Fascinating for a first post and a link I can't open and interesting that Kali has posted a reply for the first time in three years. Mates or the same person. Suspicious behaviours or maybe genuine? Re: Darlo V Scunthorpe
Assuming we can now avoid relegation, and who would bet against that now, we can look forward to next season and how we should strengthen the team. Most of this season we were crying out for forwards but now that the goals are flying in and with Asante just about fit, we appear to have an abundance ...

I thought that. Unless I am mistaken there wasn't a single Gowling player who featured against Curzon Ashton? It was Armstrong + Watson. Proof enough to have him as one of the worst managers we have ever had.Cannot ever see him managing a club above NPL level, but if he manages to talk his way into...

Yes he has Pete if you read near the bottom, Have you realized that Pete has been posting these ridiculous statements for years to get a reaction. Previous one was after the Curzon game where he stated 10 games left, game on. Of course we had 11 left. Hundreds over the years, but don't mention the ...

Re: Curzon V Darlington
Their keeper could barely stand up, yet we weren't shooting. And what was even more mystifying were the short corners or outswinging corners instead of getting the ball under the crossbar. We had 9 shots in the second half. How many up until Hatfield's goal? 0 or 1 perhaps. There are 6 on the highl...

Re: Darlington v Buxton
That was a real cannon-fire of a shot by Nelson to earn the Victory... sorry but it had to be done :D. Pleased that he made amends for Tuesday's misses and played such a key role in a crucial win. It clearly meant a lot to him. Maybe just the confidence booster he needed. We stuck at it despite the...

Re: Any new faces
Maybe we can get an acadamy player on loan from one of the big 3 north east clubs, one who can at least run down the wing and cross the ball. South Shields will slaughter us if we don't do something. Another thing, is Tommy fully fit or are we looking at a loanee replacement? Looked painful on Satu...

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
With just 8 home games left, it is really important we get a good run of home form going. The last one, when we beat Hereford was more like it, and we need more of the same on Saturday against Alfreton. We will have to see exactly who is available, but would think we might go with a back 4 of Griff...

While we're at it, does anyone: a) know when Scott Barrow is due back? b) want to start speculating about how much he's costing us to be out injured? c) have any issues with the due diligence on signing him* off the back of no football in 18 months? *yes I know he's only on loan, but still....
