Re: 25 years next week since Wembley 1996

Oh and those annoying shouts of "Green Army" all night in the centre of London, even after midnight. They got everywhere but I was too pissed to care!

Re: 25 years next week since Wembley 1996

We wandered down an empty Wembley Way about 10 minutes after kick off as we hadn't realised how long it took to get to Wembley from the boozer in Central London on the tube. Couldn't understand what all the hype was about the atmosphere on Wembley Way until I returned later in the summer for the Eng...

Re: Season at risk of finishing early

It's been mentioned here a few times but what happens if Option 2 happens and then a team leaves the NL structure (promotion or relegation)? How is the NL "grant" then repaid or is it repaid by the teams in the NL structure each year. You can see, if the "grant" is only repaid by withholding of the ...

All players must have been eligible to play in the original tie in order to play in a replayed or postponed match; however a player who has been suspended according to the disciplinary procedures under the Rules of The Association may play in a postponed or replayed match after the term of his suspe...

Re: English cricket.

If England turn round the Ashes after this then I think Botham's Summer of 1981 may be eclipsed by Stokes's Summer of 2019, when you take in the WC performances as well, as you can't imagine this England side coming out of the last 2 tests either 1-0 or 2-0 without Stokes getting involved again at s...

Re: English cricket.

Beefy and Ben are so similar in their attitudes. Throw them the ball to get you a wicket, place them anywhere in the field and they'll take a catch that most wouldn't get near to, send them out to bat against bowlers with their tails up and they won't take a backwards step. How long before we can cl...

Bit out of order there. English is obviously not his first language and it was clear enough what he was asking.

If you couldn't work out what he was asking

How many do you think we'll take to Bishop?
Do you think we'll win?
What do you think the line up will be?

Re: Blyth statement

I would guess that Blyth have no recourse to us for anything, the contract is surely between Blyth and AA. It sounds as if DFC have done nothing wrong, we've advertised, interviewed and offered the role of manager. Whether we choose to smooth the way for AA by offering Blyth something to cover anyth...

Bottom 11 teams after tonight’s games, Sat Feb 17th 2018 My picks to go down, as of today, Telford, Gainsborough and North Ferriby. I’ve changed after Leamington's win today to Telford going down who are using up bottom 11 matches but luck may not be with them after Tamworth equalised in injury tim...

Keep on seeing comments about how much the rugby club benefits from our investment. Can someone explain how they benefit? I don't know how many spectators they get but they could probably fit into the amenities they had when we arrived. They have a reasonably new club house that, again, probably sui...

Re: Relieved we're not getting promoted !

I think the problem is that Promotion comes with an expectation of increased budgets and 'better' players. If we are prepared to accept that this group of players would be representing us in the league above then fine. If the promotion brings demands for a larger playing budget while we try to brin...

Are we banned from the play-offs or not able to take promotion if we won the play-offs? If we had finished top of the league then I assume we would still be Champions just not able to accept promotion. Why would that be any different with the play-off? Play the matches with the resultant income then...

I always find these threads amusing. I would imagine that as we are only tenants not owners of BM then any changes to the ground would need to be agreed with the owners of BM. While new stands and terracing may not raise any objections within DRFC, trying to recreate Feetham might get a different re...

Yes, still used in Scotland. If there is a need for playoffs (and I don't think making the league more interesting for more clubs is a valid reason) then a simple playoff between the team 2nd in the lower league v the team just above the relegation zone in the higher league would show which team was...

I can see the problem. You set the club up to give the fans what they want, a club where the aim is to provide a football club without all of the financial greed that comes with the successful Premiership club they used to support. As Non League promotions come along then this ideal changes as it mo...
