Re: Jim Provett

Some interesting tweets by Provett recently.. Yesterday - “Crazy that clubs can find another 1/3 of original budget to throw at 1 player at this point of a season 🤔🤯“ Tuesday - (In response to someone suggesting we should’ve just paid the money to get Leesley permanent last season as in the long run...

Re: Mid league boost the budget

I'd support a Mid-Season boost the budget, however I'd hold off for now. Give Josh a few more games and see how we get on. I know we're bottom but as it stands there is still time to turn things around without completely panicking. A few wins and we'll move up the table quickly. IF, we were to lose ...

Re: Harrogate Saturday

I believe that we won’t be having a senior reserve keeper this season. It’ll be a youth player as back up and then an emergency loan in the event Taylor is unavailable. AA very rarely names one on the bench anyway. Martin’s last game tomorrow before he leaves to the US. There’s not much point in pla...

Doesn't matter either way if they did?

There was noting on the official Darlington FC site about Purver leaving. Only a tweet.

Did Steve Johnson’s son ever get a game?

If so that’s got to be the smallest gap between father and son both playing for us?

Re: SWINDON TV COVERAGE ~ HOW?

The iFollow system seems a bit silly as you register with the team you ‘follow’. Which is fine if your side is in the EFL as you’ll then be able to log in to your teams iFollow site to see both home and away fixtures. However, I signed up a few years back when abroad to watch Burton V Boro. If I try...

Re: Omar Holness

Looks like Holness has been offered a new deal then reading the recent behind the scenes updates from the club. If he leaves it will likely be due to reduced terms or starting 11 assurances not being given. I thought this would be the case rather than us not wanting to keep him when this was origina...

Doesn’t really matter. Spennymoor are just another team in our league. They’d like to think they’re our rivals but they’re not and they never will be.

Our rivals are Hartlepool.

Interesting and pleasing that we have another year option on his contract.

Is this defos our doing? Do we know if Scunthorpe would have extended if we asked? Wasn't the whole point to get him match fit for Scunthorpe? If not I guess could be an opportunity in the summer? Do we know how long Storey / Liddle & Galbraith are out for. Is it worth spending money for the increm...

Re: Be sure to get a ticket

I purchased my tickets Yesterday and the available remaining standing tickets at the time was around 900, this is now 469.

Available seated tickets I think was about 360 and this is now 32.

I doubt all would’ve been listed and more may be added when general sales opens up.

Not sure he would be eligible to play??

I believe there is a rule where a player must be registered to play for the first game to be allowed to play in the replay. May be able to get around it if has played in previous rounds?

I don't think we should be calling Nicholson unkind names because he did well for us. Also, wanting to clatter him betrays some insecurity we shouldn't be feeling. This Quakers side can play them off the pitch - now as for that big girls blouse they've got up front a few hearty challenges wouldn't ...

The guy is a waste of space and has no interest in getting in shape and playing. Only interested in picking up his wage packet.

Laing is fulfilling everything that the Hartlepool fans said about him. Heaton coming in to the centre of defence would make a massive difference.

4,000 we could manage if we develop all of the remaining area - ie between the tin shed and pipe with terrace, and a good sized seated stand behind the goal. Remember that the stand behind the goal, be it terrace or seats, can only be approx 2/3rds pitch width (if we're lucky) But getting to 5,000 ...

I think everyone understands that Kit wasn’t playing due to not training. What I don’t understand though is, why sign him in the first place? Surely it is agreed when signing how often he will train and what days he is required at Huddersfield? If we were told he would only be available match days t...
