Personally I think people are over hyping Beck. I think since we've signed him it's effected our style of play and made us more long ball. If Beck left I wouldn't be losing too much sleep!

Hnnnnnnnnnggggg phhhuuuttttttrrr!!!!!!! I'm also getting fed up of this long ball tactic week in week out. It's not Becks fault as he's a reasonably good player, but this constant tactic of lumping it up to him and bypassing the midfield is ineffective and horrible to watch. We need Gillies and Turn...

Re: Match Thread
We have a weaker frontline than last season against better defences. Long way to go and Gray will put it right I'm sure but IMO this is our weakness. My weakness is guffing in public and finding it funny, especially on nights out when I slip one out with a group of girls in close proximity. Ffffffff...

Lee Gaskell leaves
Im slightly worried about letting Gaskell go, as he's a match winner and gives us something the others don't. I also thought Purewal may have gone before Gaskell but Gray hasn't got much wrong so far. Roll on Altrincham.

Re: Tonight's Game- Urgent help needed!!
Apologies, I had a reduced price (yellow label) M & S duck wrap at 11:30am which mustn't have been kept at the recommended refrigerated temperature. As a result there's a risk of a slight bit of poo escaping if I attempt to break wind so I'm playing it safe for now. Hopefully I'll be back to normal ...

I'm not sure if nows a good time to bring somebody else in. The current squad have a great togetherness and we have plenty of strength and depth to clinch top spot, with or without Wearmouth. Re: Tom White signs
We need to bring in another body upfront and an attacking play maker such as Kneeshaw. Yesterday's forward line was far too powder puff to be challenging at this level. Also we lacked leaders on the pitch so hopefully we'll start to see Whitey in the starting line up. Frrrrrrp Sent from my iPad usin...

IMO we are a Kneeshaw (attacking midfielder) a good full back and a centre forward away from being title contenders. I hope I'm wrong however.

Thanks for the report Darlo Dean. I agree with your comments re Fisher, sadly things haven't worked out for him but IMO Gray should deffo have started with Tommo. Two points dropped today but hopefully we'll start with our best 11 (and that includes Reed and Tommo) on Monday.

Re: Darlington FC V Warrington Town
Gray's had all pre season to sort out the right back slot and for me there's no excuse for not strengthening in that position. As much a I like Gary Brown he's clearly not a full back and if he's played in that position agains the likes of Spendymore they'll tear us apart. Hopefully we can get a dec...

Re: Northwich Victoria v Darlington Match Thread
Amar has been poor for a few games now and his confidence seems rock bottom. I like the guy but he's got to start pulling his finger out and deliver the goods otherwise I can see Gray moving him on. You sound like a barrel of laughs! While we're at it lets also field 11 foreign players and charge £30 admission like most premier league clubs. Losing Tommo would be a big blow but no doubt the club won't stand in his way if its a good full time move for him. Frrrrap. In the 2 games I've seen Fisher he's only kicked the ball 3 times so its hard to make judgement but so far I've not been impressed, and its clear that the treatment of Andy Johnson has been poor by Gray. I've been even less impressed with Edwards who along with Pilatos has been a very poor ...

Hopefully under the new nicey nicey "unlucky chaps better luck next time" being friendly regime, breaking wind at matches is still permitted. I tend to release a boff typically 3-4 times each half and to compensate for being irrate after Purewal has missed his 5th one on one of the game, I put a smi...

Re: return to darlo date and ground requirements
I love the layout of curzons raised terracing behind the goal, It looks very similar to the polam lane end at feethams. That at one end and a tin shed type set up behind the other goal would be ideal. In fact I'm looking forward to breaking wind at our new ground already.

Re: Name change
Regardless of the ground name I'd like to see us drop the 1883 for our name whenever possible. On the fixture posters at the new ground and for distributing it should read Darlington Fc vs ........ The 1883 bit is irritating. It's like having one of those poos where your still wiping after 50 sheets...
