Re: Match thread

Conserving a shared pitch, resting players, or just OLD DFC poor PR? (e.g. newly returned fans disappointed, wasting revenue when supposed seaking funds, not suppying the JJ lad with ammo from midfield). Anyway 45mins to go, so maybe a Darlo first team style recovery!

Re: Support Uncovered and DFC through Amazon

Christmas is coming & so is the usual postal system collapse, so it's now prime time to be ordering presents for the "loved ones". I suggest you post some message like this on DFC Twitter, with the link, as I am an old codger who wouldn't know where to start.

Re: can any one confirm spennys application for promotion?

Spennymoor (before they went bust and re-branded) played in the Northern Premier aka Evo-Stick. They must have strengthened an already championship winning squad, so they would need a financial crisis to emerge to not go for promotion. If an Evo-Stick club comes unstuck (titter titter) and gets kick...

Re: Investing direct in DFC1883

Is there anyone nearer to the club, e.g. the Echo, Trust or Supporters Club, who can explain the the INTENTIONS about future 1883/CIC investments and voting, regardless of timing? I suppose we have to be patient about share issue timing, as there may be secretive political / commercial moves going w...

Re: Match thread

I hope Lowes and Johnson aren't to be loaned out. They will benefit from playing & training alongside our attack minded players, rather than being cover or canon fodder somewhere else. Kelts will most likely get some run outs from the bench, as he does improve after a run of games (less late tackles...

Success of the Lottery - from little acorns....

It appears that the lottery has passed the 200 member mark, so the club is already making at least £6,000 per year from the proceeds to date. Considering that Colin has only been running this a dozen or so weeks it shows what can be done by the application of fan power. At one time in the 90'...

Re: DFC brollies

It would be a break from the old DFC club shop tradition to upgrade to Pound Shop quality.

Is there any black market on the go for home shirts? - as us exiles can't seem to order any from the club.

Re: Are we classed as an

Corinthian Casuals are probably the only amateur club, as contrary to Mike Amos, the clubs above the Wearside League are paying most players. Case in Point : The recent twin promotions of the RA, was blighted by most players moving on for bigger match day "expense" fees. Smaller clubs qualify for th...

Re: Craig Gott shirt sponsorship

Rats! DAFTS members were wanting to increase their shirt sponsorship tally with him. We'll probably go for the new keeper now.

Any DAFTS or others out there interested in clubbing together for sponsorships can contact me on neil.g.johnson07@hotmail.no

Re: Investing direct in DFC1883

I invested a sizeable sum in 1883 after weeks of quizzing. I was then informed by the club in writing that the voting rights will be, as per normal, one share : one vote. This is news that should be checked and broadcast by the Echo and the 1883 & DAFTS website, because the unworkable one member : o...
