Re: Jason Ainsley
They’ll likely get a full time manager in, go full time in the not too distant future and look to make a serious push to get out this league. Groves will be looking at someone like Harrogate and thinking that’s the way too go. They went full time in 2017 and since then have had two promotions in 3 y...

Re: Cambridge City at home
Armstrong’s cup record across FA Cup and FA Trophy since he became manager roughly 18 months ago: Won: 8 Drew: 1 Lost: 2 FA Cup Qualifiers Played: 6 Won: 6 Three wins at home, three wins away. Superb, with prize money, gate money splits and TV money must be around £200k extra income. Superb, we have...

Re: New signing
Wish I had a tenner for every time a Darlo thread on a Darlo fans forum got sidetracked by people having to mention Spennymoor. It’s as if they live rent free in peoples heads.
Green would be a great signing but the rumour is Halifax. However I’d imagine Armstrong has done his upmost.

We’ll do what’s best for our football club and it’s survival. That’s it. You don’t want to go to the Arena, that’s your choice, I’d like to thing the majority of us would just do what we have to do to ensure we have a decent income and ride this appalling and unprecedented situation out. 600 ppl in ...

Hopefully people just ignore them and they get bored.
Whatever we are paying Maguire it will be within our budget, clubs in safe hands financially these days.

Depends on the very generous terms he has allegedly been offered, terms we couldn’t offer him.

Re: Maguire & Langstaff Released
Rumour mill saying we were looking good to get Maguire, Gateshead have since come in and offered him loads, therefore increasing his demands from us.
Could be bull but Gateshead seem to consistently find people to put money into them so wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up signing for them.

Bump.
Whilst their is lots of talk on almost every other thread about locals clubs budgets and spending power, let’s not forget that this is infinitely more important.

Re: Away Kit
This seasons away kits is one of the best we’ve had for a long time, and I reckon will have out sold this seasons home kit comfortably. Remember, it’s only a football shirt, and that it’s a revenue driver for the club. And as a fan owned club, we sort of rely on stuff like this to consolidate and ho...

I wish teams in this league travelled as well as we do. Taking 400 down there and they’ll struggle to bring 50 probably. Be nice if more teams brought numbers so we could get a decent amount of cash in rather than feathering the nest of rivals with good away followings and then get f*ck all from the...

Re: Guiseley
We can't go up with Blackwell in it's current state can we? I could be wrong like, but sure we would need to spend money on it, which is a concern when we only have a licence to play games on a match day. Saying that, as well as we are playing we would have to achieve promotion ahead of York, Cheste...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website
I trust Johnston to do what is right for the football club moving forward. When you look at how much progress we have made as a club off the pitch since he came in 2.5 years ago. We’ve come a hell of a long way, but it appears from comments made in programme notes/interviews we are outgrowing the gr...

Re: Darlington V Spennymoor
Ghost is right, just stating facts. Our crowds these days are utterly appalling, barring the really big games when everyone wants a slice of the action. I wouldn’t confuse being utterly pissed off and frustrated with our constantly poor gates and that fact they massively hinder us as a club, with th...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website
This town had a football league club for the best part of a century, it is the ultimate aim for us, as it should be. A town this size should have a football league club in my opinion, but we’ve got no divine right, it has to be earned. Johnston is clearly fiercely ambitious about us getting there, a...

Re: Simply not good enough
With regards to us being over budget, I’d guess it’s due to the fact we’re paying three long terms absences so have had to bring new players in. We have signed Connell, Storey and Hedley. Say they are on £200 a week each (mid table players wages in this league), sums as follows: £600 a week x 40 wee...

Re: Leamington (A)
Armstrong has said in pretty much all recent interviews we’re constantly grafting to get a striker in. He’s even said that we’ve been close but the goal posts keep getting changed, players changing their minds last minute. Clubs thinking because we’ve won a few cup games that we’re rolling in money ...

2-0 now. I don’t know how we improve things. We don’t generate huge amounts of money that allows us to compete with a large percentage of the teams in this league. Tonight we have Trotman, Holmes, Atkinson, Connell, Liddle, Laing all unavailable but still costing the club money, and losing O’Neill h...

Re: Wheatley & Connell not in squad ?
Agreed as part of the loan deal that Connell doesn’t play in the FA Trophy.
Wheatley picked up a knock and was taken off against Walsall, hence him missing today.

We took loads to Walsall as it was our biggest game in years, an FA Cup 2nd round tie at League 2 Walsall will be seen as just a run of the mill game for them. They will be looking forward to the upcoming League Cup Quarter final against Manchester City and they also are in with a genuine chance of ...

Anyone recall the amount of money it would cost to redirect the water pipe so that we could then look to put permanent stands up? I'm sure it was mentioned that it would be about £1m, could be wrong. Then even if we decided to do it we would have to get permission from our landlords to do so and als...

Re: Sold out?
Even if we could average 2,500 that would give us so much more scope to move up the pyramid and generate more income for infrastructure etc etc. My opinion is that it is two things that hinder us: 1. The level we play at. 2. Blackwell Meadows I'd imagine we will be hearing something regarding the sp...
