leaves NL NORTH York. Would anybody take him back?
Had 20 odd assists from LWB for York this season. Would imagine if he's going anywhere it's up the leagues.

Re: Maguire & Langstaff Released

Another good signing and our attacking options look pretty frightening for this league. Campbell, Maguire, Charman, Rivers, Holmes and Donawa. Lots of different options in there to play 2 up top, 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Hopefully we can get Jack Lambert in to replace Holness and a good loanee keeper. If w...

Re: Greetings again

I suppose the question is did you feel the bug right away or did it take some time? Whilst watching Bury I have sat in and watched some awful games with a tiny sub 2000 crowd spread around Gigg Lane. But I can't imagine it is half as weird as turning to to an away ground with 1000 away fans but jus...

Can anyone explain to me how on earth the officials managed to conjure up those two first-half penalty decisions for Boston. Baffling. I see that Simon Ainge only managed to get on as an injury-time sub and Jordan Nicholson just for a few minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=026fFC8HglU First p...

Re: The Team 20/21 season

Would still be happy if we could get Jack Lambert, would give us a good attacking midfield option especially if Holness is going to depart. Other than a goalkeeper after that, which I expected might be a loan from Boro (Hemming or Brynn) or Newcastle (Jake Turner) which would likely happen just befo...

Re: New signing

Pleased with that one as well. Played for Bolton in the Allardyce years so cant be a pussy cat. As others have said sounds like a leader and experienced head. Played plenty of games in L2 last year as well in a promotion winning side so another one to be excited about.

Re: New signing

Happy with that. Everyone knows our key areas to strengthen are GK, CB and CF so to get one of those sorted in the first transfer is pleasing. Right kind of player too, at 6'1 bit of physical presence and an age where he could certainly be an asset in the future. Never seen him play but good pedigre...

DMP making sure that despite the best efforts of Covid-19 Darlo will get a Panto this year, by issuing the classic 'ohhh no it isn't (but we can't comment on open matters)' response:

As soon as the Corona Virus hit I thought this would be the outcome. From reading the article and what DMP wanted from the council, sounds like it was doomed even before Covid. I'm slightly glad in a way, I know the plan was to propose our own ground on site but I couldn't see how that was achievabl...

What are peoples predictions for the playoffs? Re: The Team 20/21 season

See Adam Boyes has signed for Marske. Great signing at that level for them. Would have been very nervous signing him that, depending on any kick back on those betting charges he got back in January/February time. That is a major shock, nothing against Marske but this guy was scoring goals for fun p...

Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Under Consumer Rights Act we had to offer a refund - which would have resulted in a VAT adjustment. That is absolute there are no questions there. Donations are not subject to VAT. Again that is absolute there is no question there. If all customers received a refund, and then separately donated the...

Re: 19/20 Season Ticket Refunds

Chris Stockdale has confirmed on twitter that the VAT adjustment can be done by the club, once they are aware of fans decisions (ie if they dont request a refund prior to the refund date).

Individuals will not need to request a refund and then donate this to the club.

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

Seems a little unclear where the others stand. Altrincham seem to have said they favour playing them... but the money is a significant caveat. I can’t see any real comment from Chester, Gateshead or Brackley yet? Spending this money strikes me as ridiculous... also, surely the players are all on fu...

Re: Increasingly unlikely playoffs

Would be a bonus if Boston Utd went up through the play-offs as it is like King's Lynn, a helluva way to go for an away game. Equally, Brackley would not be a great loss, although quite a few Darlo exiles in the South do make it to that fixture. Thought Chester were against play-offs due to the cos...

Well since the National League vote has confirmed that is the end of the season, thought we might as well have a review thread: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50016475808_6d53147d2c_z.jpg We finish on a PPG points total of 61 a couple behind Guiseley and a couple in front of a Farsley. Re: The Team 20/21 season

The rent is calculated on a match basis, not per annum. As far as I understand it, no games played at BM equals no rent due to DRFC to stage football matches. It’s obviously not that as if it was we could walk away at any time with no cost. I expect it’s a match fee with a minimum guaranteed matche...

The reason as I understand it is that the NLN and NLS were not classed as “elite sport” by the DCMS. The NL was considered elite so they can go ahead with play offs. Re: Leagues 1 and 2

There was never going to be a ‘fair’ way to finish the season. Any way you look at it some teams were going to suffer, it just became a case of who’s self interest would win out: - teams in automatic places wanted PPG - Play-off teams want to play for a chance to go up - mid-table didn’t care as lon...

Surely if he's been released by Gateshead, he'll not be as good as what we've already got? That’ll be the team that finished four points ahead of us with two games in hand and a +16 goal difference. Oliver made 27 appearances for them and he reached the play-offs under Blyth with AA. I also think w...

Re: The Team 20/21 season

His minutes to goals/assists is actually decent. It’s difficult to judge with such limited game-time spread across a number of seasons. He is definitely more of an impact player but at 22, still has time to improve. I certainly wouldn’t be writing it off, like some have, for the reasons I’ve outlin...
