Re: Chester game....

3-0 now Take it on the chin. Was always going to be tough having had a tough game midweek. We weren't at our best by the sound of it, but despite the loss we're 7th which is testament to 8 game run before today which took us from mid table to being able to lose a game and still be in the playoff pl...

Re: Trotman joins villa

Don't see any reason why Trotman would want to leave at the end of the season.Even if he gets his degree, he can still forge a very successful career as a FT pro footballer and commit to another season with us and put himself in the shop window as others have.Far too talented to call it a day. Does anyone know if Donowa is contracted, and if so what length? He's been getting better week by week, so I would hate to lose him for no fee.
Contracted till the end of the season, with a 1 year option from what I've heard.

Re: Justin Donowa

Think we have some great assets within the squad in regards to players who could potentially get back into the full time game. Based on age and ability I think Donawa, Storey and Wheatley should certainly be on the radar of some clubs from higher divisions.

A real possibility if we get the 3 points we will be in a playoff position. No idea on AA's starting lineup with Reid,Atkinson, Tez, Wheatley and Martin available, strongest squad we have had this season. Big test against another big, direct side and have a feeling it will be Thommo's big day. Sent ...

Re: Elliot and Connel

Use the short term loan market to cover injuries to your no.1. That's what we did. Connell was a short term loan to cover Elliott's injury, but he did well and there was a clamour to make it long term. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk I agree we did. But, like you said we extended the loan, now ...

Like both keepers and credit to Elliott for turning it around after his injury. The No.1 Jersey is rightfully his atm. But my personal feeling will always be the same, two no.1 goalkeepers is a luxury we cant afford and isn't the best use of budget. Single No.1, with either a GK coach (like Bell wa...

What is the cost for a ground like that? Anyone Dont think they have disclosed an actual cost except to say that it will go into seven figures and they have been granted £250k by the FSIF to support the project. Not too dissimilar situation to us, in that, because they are rebuilding at their old M...

Away day blues https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49316413681_e94341e9a9_z.jpg Unfortunately, we have to play away too, where we're only 16th in the Away League Table. Fence was knackered after goal due to crowd surge as no crush barriers, mistake from Spenny originally not making it all ticket and then steward opening up that part. Mistakes all over off the pitch for Spenny today, shame they didn't make as many on it. fence already misshapen before any goals, du...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website

Don’t think we’ll need £6m initially, I reckon a third of that will build something that will be acceptable for National league with the scope to upgrade fairly easily from a logistics point of view for FL. Of course still plenty of issues raising that sum but it’s got to be a 5-10 year project. Mo...

An idea shamelessly stolen from Twitter – who makes up your Darlingotn team of the decade? I’ve judged mine on a mix of contribution to the team, impact and ability. Goalkeeper – Sam Russell – We’ve had a lot of good keepers but no one has really stood out so I’ve gone for Russell who, in terms of ...

Great result for us today. Thought we did both sides of the game well today. Strong performances from 1-11. Special mentions for Laing and Storey who barely gave the best centre forward in the league a sniff. Hatfield and Wheatley for dominating the midfield. Cambs for that special goal in the first...

I think the only way round this is either we as owners raise a bit of cash , (not sure of numbers let’s say £10000) or we get someone in from a lower league that we can afford. Or we wait till January when we get Gary Martin and reassess from there. I love our fans passion, and have no doubt we'd g...

We need a dominant CB. Laing isn't the type of player we need. I know we were after Buddle in the summer. More the kind of player we need, big 6'3+ lad who can get his head on things. Need someone with a loud voice too. Lead that back line a bit more too often were too quiet. A dominant CB alongside...
