Re: FA Cup TV Details

I was on this message board years ago but had computer/email address issues and never got round to sorting them. Glad to be back. Is this the first time we've been live on BBC? Apologies if it's a daft question but can't think of another time we have. And in celebration of being back- fuck off spen...

Probably still get some funding, as limits are going to be in place. its a good question about funding. Depends on how they deal with it. If its the 2000/4000 limits, then virtually no club who can have fans in will lose out. If its the sort of limits they were talking about at start of season, the...

Re: EFL Clubs to use up to 5 Subs

If teams are allowed more subs, then inevitably they will need bigger squads, which means less players available as you go down the pyramid. Thus the standard lower down the pyramid decreases and costs to clubs increase as they have to have bigger squads. Would be good if we have 5 subs, if say 2 ha...

Re: FA rules on abandonment

Realistically the league are within their rights to suggest we play the final 4 minutes + injury that were left. If they did would we bother? I'm not sure the rules allow for restarting/ finishing a game after a referee has abandoned a game. My understanding of abandoning is that brings the game to...

Re: FA rules on abandonment

It wasn't a cup match Law 7 provides similarly for all football matches. IE a game is of 2 halves of 45 minutes However there are examples of matches being deemed complete going back at least as far as the infamous Man U 0 v 2 Man City match in 1974 where after Dennis Law put City 2 up near the end...

Are the rules about no replays still in place for the First Round ? If so is it extra time and penalties or straight to penalties after 90 mins. Purely an academic question as I believe we will win in normal time of course. THere are no replays this season Rule 10 (e) (e) In the Competition Proper:...

With the news that Steps 3-6 are suspended for the duration of the lockdown, this will mean a delay in the FA Trophy. We currently have no game scheduled for 5th Dec as it's the Second Round. I'll be amazed if we're out of the lockdown by then anyway, but even if we are, the first round is this wee...

Stick with darlofansradio, not sure what you get from their streaming, I don't think it's there own a third party involved I believe. You would get to watch the game via streaming as opposed to listening only to it on Darlington Fans Radio or have the best of both- watch it with sound from DarloFan...

There is some cup history pre-history really. We won there in the cup in1965 when Jimmy Lawton starred we swapped him for Alan Sproates after the game. Not literally but it was canny business. Not an ideal tie but as Gps points out we said much the same about Walsall. I think we can bring Swindon b...

After the excellent coverage on Saturday I wonder if there's an update on viewing figures/how much income it made and did we have to share it? I think streaming revenue is treated as is gate money and shared between both clubs after expenses of the tie are taken out.

If income doesn't cover costs, both clubs have to share the losses

It's a bit of a funny one this, public money being used to bail out football clubs that in many cases are badly run and unsustainable as businesses.
