Been bumped and blocked in that car park. Hard to get out of at FT. Happy where I park.

Re: Droylsden vs. Darlo
Am I missing something. That was our first defeat of the season right? Away at a team who we expect to be up in the play-off mix. We have comfortably beaten two other teams in that mix (well would have but for circumstance). I dunno, but from what I am hearing before interruptions (crowd trouble & ...

Re: Pre Season
This squad hasn't improved the team greatly from last year for me. True, it can beat 80% of teams in this league but I predict it will fold when meeting the real contenders. I was sorry to see Ward go as we have never had a player to turn a game when in adversity. When I see suggestions of Purewal a...

Re: Early odds
Don't dismiss Warrington too easily. Some good signings and I believe they are financially able. Our first game should be very competitive.

Best of luck to the boys. Great to have Wardy ready if we do slip up. Shoutcast is breaking up a bit but should come good at kick off.

I know its been argued, but I'd much rather had faced Bambi or Lancaster. Suppose we should be grateful we're in the mix.

Re: Ossett Town V Darlington FC
The lads are doing a great commentary on Shoutcast. Sounds like Ward and Mitchell are giving us some nice options up front. Officials are inconsistent, but we've seen that before. Get in!!

Re: Buyout of Salford City
If we don't go up this season, it doesn't change things really. With either Spendy or Carlisle Nation coming up there will be another challenger, plus whoever comes down. Whoever doesn't go up will also be in with Lancaster, Farsley, Rammy and Bamber Br. All good sides who will challenge. Add to th...

Buyout of Salford City
The news that 3 Manchester Utd footballers are wanting to control Salford city is worrying news for Darlington FC. With that support they could easily gain the sole automatic play off place in this division next year. It makes these play offs even more important for us to gain promotion. Will they w...

Re: Darlington FC V Wakefield
A good performance. What excited me was the way Ward held the ball up and was a problem to the Wakefield defence. He will give us another option when we are struggling against better sides. Have to disagree about the ref. She made a few basic errors in decisions for both sides. Mitchell played well ...

Re: Darlington v Cammell Laird Match Thread
A great performance against a well-organised team (a lot better than New Mills). I look forward to the vid of the game, if only to count the number of passes that led to that well worked second goal. I didnt hear who was man of the match but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't Gary Brown. His perform...

Re: joe tait e playoff games
If we earn second place, which is now quite plausible, I think we can expect a 2000 attendance which should equate to a gate income of about £15000... ( do season ticket holders pay?) I think it is more important that Darlington FC gain promotion this season than anything else. If we don't we lose i...

Harrogate railway took points off us. Nice if they could do the same at Curzon. However, a nailed on 1-0 win.

Re: Darlington v Lancaster City Match Thread
Like it or not, we are in the play offs. Lancaster came with a game plan, and due to a poor defence they got the initiative. Lets accept that we are not the best team in this league. I'm not sure that a home draw in the play offs is to our advantage. We play well away. Financially the home draw is g...

Re: Will the season finish like this.
I think its a pretty good effort. If Curzon are to waver then try farsley beating them away and warrington drawing with them. There's 3 more points lost.
Also bear in mind they could go bankrupt next month and all their decent players walk out.
