Re: Well done Darlo Trust

How can they be finished as they will have £40k of voting rights and still be existence. 1SL I certainly wasn't having a go. If you read my comments about the trust in the past you will find I have been supportive of them. I was merely saying that if the target isn't met they could claim the money ...

Re: Well done Darlo Trust

I have tried to be as honest as I can but you guys have your opinions and much of it is blinded by passion rather than practicality. I love this football club more than most of you would ever understand yet you question my motives (as a Trust Board member) - am fine with that as I realise some of yo...

Re: Well done Darlo Trust

true Q but the mindset on here would be why are they 'waiting' can they not go seek the answers? Well why the hell can't they...? I would tell you that we arranged a meeting and it was cancelled or that we sent off the follow up questions but haven't got the replies back yet but we would just be go...

Re: Well done Darlo Trust

Why did the fact that a meeting had been cancelled need to be made public knowledge though? Thats the exact point I made a few weeks ago on here. A statement can easily be knocked together which gives information yet is profressional. The Trust's statements in the previous weeks have been nothing s...

Re: Well done Darlo Trust

Its not Tony, its written by the secretary. I agree that perhaps pointing out that the Trust did not cancel the meeting appears provocative but its a fact that had the Trust cancelled the meeting it would without doubt have come in for criticism on here - that is without doubt an unarguable fact and...

Re: Well done Darlo Trust

I've just become a member of the Trust in the past month. How do members go about bringing change to the Trust? how do they make complaints about the current leaders? how do they ask for a referendum on certain pressing issues (i.e. Where money should be spent)? All i got was a small poster with so...

Re: Latest Trust Statement

lo it wasn't a meeting with D83 and am not blaming anybody!! The meeting was a Trust Board meeting to discuss the replies and arrange the format to inform the members. Unfortunately the Trust have not received the replies back yet. The lack of response could be for a variety of reasons, the D83 guys...

Re: Well done Darlo Trust

I suspect the Echo are trying to get a reaction which has happened. Now Ian, run along with your co-optee hat on and find out what the fuck is happening with the due diligence. It's been going on for a month now ....have they finished running the documentation through the spell checker yet ? we sen...

Re: Well done Northern Echo

How would the trust know any better than 1883 what is a sustainable, viable club? They are basically saying without putting it into words that they don't think 1883 can do the job. They don't know any better, their not suggesting they know better that's why its taken advice from Cobbetts and SD who...

Re: Latest Trust Statement

As far as am concerned the quicker the DD is concluded the better. I don't want it delayed any longer than needed - the Trust had a meeting agreed for last night as we hoped to have the replies to the follow up questions back but unfortunately we haven't heard anything as yet so cancelled it yesterd...

Re: Well done Northern Echo

The Echo have chosen that to lead with when they could have cherry picked another part of the statement to read: 'Trust to ensure proposition is viable and sustainable' 'We will, however, ensure that any proposition that the Trust engages in is based on sustainability, viability and that the footbal...

Re: One Of Darlo's Worst Ever Midfielders

I thought he was very poor but at the same time it was possibly still his best game for us since he returned! That said I don't agree with fans singling out players for abuse, especially when the team as a whole has played badly. Am slightly baffled by his comment that family had turned up and paid ...

Sam whatever is said of the Trust it can't be said that it does not act in the best interest of the supporters/members.
It is for that reason the current process is in place.

Re: Former Quakers boss hails rescue attempt (Echo)

He has a dig at the Trust despite the fact that the Trust contributed a significant fee in that 'phenomenal' ultimate last second saving of the club. You mean the money where the Trust didn't need to hold a vote or make a recommendation to members? Different day, different rules. yep a different da...

Re: Things have never been the same since...

No Q am not saying that in any way! in fact PR is something the Trust have been dreadful at in recent years, but with SD support and guidance the joint supporter group may well have done things differently. Where the campaign fell down is we didn't replace them with a figurehead, a personality who c...

Re: Things have never been the same since...

From the time of the DSU meetings I did feel the Doug and Shaun Roadshow had a shelf life that was about to be hit. I raised the issue that we needed a more focused, detailed and informative way of promoting the club. Something that displayed the model of professionalism that the then DSU strived to...

Did you also notice that they have a stake in Crowdcube? Strange as Crowdcube never came onto the scene until 24hrs after the DSU initiative had been ag...

I think its best to stay calm and establish the facts, I would think that they have possibly been misquoted as they will have established this scheme fully aware of the business facts. They have 2 business plans in place (relegation and survival) how can they make plans for the future if they do not...

Re: Cash Sales on Crowdcube?

For the return it could generate I don't actually see any real logistical problem to be honest - its potentially somewhere around £100k investment but only affects a very few groups/businesses - maybe as little as 4 or 5? For instance the £70k was one single entity, DUFF (of which am a member) is £1...

to be fair I think you base your judgement on a few posters on here robbie rather than the support base as a whole. I am encouraged by comments of support I get from Darlo fans generally for 'doing the right thing and not yielding to pressure. If it was all negative I would just say fine crack on wi...

Re: Cash Sales on Crowdcube?

I suggested a way to generate interested in another thread - basically all those groups/businesses that bought during the 2:1 could just take the single share and donate their bonus shares back for a second bout of 2:1 shares - there must be almost £100k of shares sold previously to the groups/busin...

Re: Look North

how about the groups/businesses that bought their shares during the 2:1 scheme put the spare (second) shares back in the tub and encourage supporters to buy theirs at 2:1? There must be a fair whack of shares available, its not a power game now so strength of shares aren't important for groups/busin...

last min pens you have to blast - if the keeper saves you have to make sure he cant hold it. it was almost a back pass but credit to him for having the balls to take a last min pen
