Imagine if those currently in the bottom four were the ones that did go down, would make the 7th tier more southern based with no doubt some clubs been shifted leagues and been hacked off

Re: Nice bit of trivia

Great trivia. I forgot anyone had fielded a all english squad at all in the premier league era. Bound to be a game soon where no english player is in the starting 11. On another note who was the last english manager to win a major trophy, im taking a punt on harry redknapp 16 year ago That's happen...

Re: South Shields v Darlo

There was a pretty dramatic ending to one of the weekend games involving the relegation battle. Rushall drew 3-3 with Gloucester and two of their goals were apparently worldies scored by a sub call Sam McLintock. Just two days earlier McLintock, 23, who had his contract cancelled at Boston last yea...

Thompson says he has put in £8m of his own money since taking over in 2015 and there is no "external debt" for the new owner.
Not sure whether to believe that or nor

Micky Cummins was Watson's assistant at Gateshead and York. No idea if he will join him at Darlo.

Beat of luck to steve watson, he was a good manager at gateshead during a difficult time and would have got york up had he been there a touch longer. Not sure what happened at chester but hey every manager has a slight blip

Not to manage, but to arrest half the squad for impersonating footballers.

So salford and s shields have sacked managers, both clubs with a load of bandwagon jumpers and owners who think they should be winning all the time. Good to see them both getting a reality check

Re: Who next?

There's zero evidence to suggest that Martin Gray has the skillset required in our current situation. He succeeded when he had the biggest, or one of the biggest budgets in the division, while he was supported by a scout who had huge knowledge of the local non League game in Harry Dunn. He's not wo...

Re: Who next?

Can see why gowling was let go but it also begs the question of who would take the job on, steve watsons not had a bad record but does he want a relegation on his cv? Does not seem much of a pool of managers in the region at this level. Graeme lee could be available soon if marske go and i wonder if...

Re: Marske United

Would it really take 120k for a northern premier club to see out the end of the season? Could they not just offload big earners and see out the season with a trimmed down squad and re-group next season in division below? What also strikes me as odd is why were they not a limited company before now, ...

Didnt the chairman offer to pay rent arreas out of his own pocket? Seems harsh they are been evicted but maybe the ground owners do want them out and due to the grounds location its more likely to be used for industrial use than housing. Re: Hypothetical ownership structure

Surely respect goes two ways? All three of them Andy, John and Jimmy are pretty straight talking individuals. Nothing has been said publicly that they haven't said privately anyway. It may backfire on Accrington though. John is hugely invested in the club ethos and just gets on with it under the fi...

Re: Hypothetical ownership structure

Accrington Stanley chairman Andy Holt's tweets are worth a read from last night. Things really can change for clubs under a single owner ...

This echos graeme wood at gateshead who was not really in bad health when he sold up but was in his 70s. As ive said before why not have say 20% fan ownership and 4 other major share holders who own circa 20% each. Mardi gras reunion @ignite

So who went to the mardis gras nightclub reunion at ignite last night? A really well ran night at the towns only nightclub featuring ex mardi gras dj’s with good old school dance music. I would probably say it was better than 20 plus year ago as mardis was dropping to bits near the end not to mentio...
