Re: The new floodlights.

Grant funding application still ongoing. Hopefully finalised in a few weeks time. Floodlight columns have been inspected by an engineer and are fine.

Re: Who next?

Despite the fact it’s only a couple of weeks since he publically said he wouldn’t say no if asked again…… I thought you said he said publicly he was offered it but turned it down? He was offered it but turned it down because he didn’t agree with Armstrong’s sacking. However he said that if he was o...

[emoji3595] I don't thing Gray is the type to work in a double act. Correct. Also Hodgson is 63 years old and been out of management for yonks, and has repeatedly said he does not want to return. Re: Jacob Hazel

Right decision to sell. Hazel has been bang average for most of 2023. He couldn’t trap a bag of cement and it’s obvious that our better players got frustrated with him. Despite scoring goals, he’s never progressed higher than NLN level because his all round contribution isn’t great. Sent from my iPh...

Re: Just had a phone call from Alun Armstrong.

Club Officials, including Alun Armstrong, are currently calling supporters to check if they’re ok, to see if there’s anything the club can do for them and give them the opportunity to ask questions about DFC.

It’s a nominal sum by the time it reaches NLN clubs. Certainly welcome cashflow but definitely not a lottery win.

Four allowed on shirt - front, back and x2 sleeves (1 is compulsory league sponsor)

Re: Away Kit

Unfortunately we do have some restrictions on away shirts which means we can’t get something bespoke so it’s more which colour rather than which design Can we have any standard Puma design? They have a decent range https://www.prodirectsoccer.com/l/mens/departments-teamwear/activity-football/brand-...

A vote will be out soon. In anticipation, it would be good to know people’s view on the colour. Is red seen as the new tradition now or perhaps yellow, which we used to wear fairly consistently during the 80s & 90s or do people like a complete change / left field choice each season? Re: Guiseley

Referee was correct to give an indirect free kick for their first goal. Hedley purposely played the ball back to Connell where it then bounced off his foot onto his hand/arm. The goalkeeper doesn’t need to catch the ball for it to be a back pass. But it’s not a bookable offence, presumably why the ...

Re: Guiseley

IFAB Lawbook says “When the GK clearly kicks or tries to kick the ball into play, this shows no intention to handle the ball so, if the clearance attempt is unsuccessful, then goalkeeper can then handle the ball without committing an offense.” On that basis, I’d suggest that no offence was committed...

Very happy with what I saw today apart from one player who and I don't know if there is a problem looked a couple of yards slower than the rest and looked lazy losing the ball and not chasing back ,even when he had best chance of winning it. Hopefully this is not his usual game , I,m speaking of Ja...

Got to agree. He’s an Evo-Stik striker at best BUT he’s not far off football league standard as a centre back. If he’s happy to play centre back then he’ll be a huge asset for the club. If his heart is set on playing up front then he’ll be a liability. My MOTM yesterday by some distance.
