Re: Two previous meetings with Chorley

I was going to the game to meet up with an old pal. I left work in Liverpool and got to the outskirts of Chorley when I came to a T junction with a "Give Way" sign right on the junction and with no advance warning. Rather than go on to the main road I took to the grass verge and hit the said sign wh...

Re: Tickets so far

I'm an exiled supporter but a member of DFCSG. I would love to support the Club by buying a ticket but knowing that there is no way I can get to the game - from Dorset - I don't want to stop someone else who can go. However I would love to have a ticket just as a souvenir of our returning to town. I...

Re: Peterborough v Darlo Playoff final

The ref was Mike Dean, first time at Wembley I believe. The game should never have gone ahead! The pitch was waterlogged as it had rained all day and during the match, if I recall. The only reason it wasn't postponed was, I believe that there was a friendly the following day between England and Braz...

Re: Marine in the Trophy on Saturday

As an exile I would love us to have an extended run, not only from the financial aspect, but to give the exiles hopefully a game nearer their home's. That said I would not want a congestion of fixtures if we do which could affect our promotion. Bo**ock* it's a while since I've been to Wembley!

Re: Car parking at BM

Thank you to everyone for their comments regarding parking for travelling to a home game from Dorset. I was born in 48 and do have heart problems.....nevertheless my initial post was sent only slightly tongue in cheek. I will always arrive early and have a drink (or two) before the game (if the pubs...

Re: Car parking at BM

As an exiled supporter (living in Dorset) I don't get to many games (!) but I am a shareholder and member of the Supporters Club....if I drive from Dorset for a home game and can't get in the car park I will not be happy if I have to park in town or elsewhere. I would add that whilst not disabled I ...

Re:Gloucester City Away

Sorry to change the subject but I don't yet know how to create a new post! The Gloucester City away game on Sunday 21st August - do they still play at Cheltenham's ground at Whaddon Road?

Re: Justice for the 96

I was also at the Burnley game that day but had travelled up from the Wirral, near Chester. We were held in the ground after the game and it was then I heard the news. I worked in Liverpool at the time and had two mates from work who went to the game including my assistant manager. I listened to the...

Re: Blackpool FC

Just keeping away from comments about Chairman......I have happy memories from Darlo at Blackpool in October 1965 when we beat them 2-1 in the 3rd round of the League Cup. Celebrating on the beach!

Re: Exiled

Sorry everyone....I don't use the Forum for comment very often! As an exile for some 45 years and now in Dorset I was able to make the New Mills game and to persuade my wife to stay longer so I could catch the Spennymoor game. Even following Darlo for 55 plus years....they are still Darlo! My heart ...

Re: Exiled

Don't know about the rest of you exiles, but the minute or two it takes me to scroll through the match thread - through my fingers!- the morning after a game (I'm 7-8 hours ahead over here) puts me through the emotional wringer more than actually being there ever does! I could feel my heart sink to...

Can we call the late (Sir) David Frost a fan? Remember back in February 1973 he spent a week with the Club to record an episode of the Frost Programme.
