Re: Once the dust settles...

I guess it depends what you mean by "go for it" to me it means getting the best manager available (In theory Watson), giving him the budget that finances allow, so very similar to what has been available. In the meantime hopefully the club should have had for some time a plan, on what do we do short...

Re: Once the dust settles...

Alfreton, Curzon and even Tamworth (had momentum) are all up there and generally our budget should be similar to above those clubs. Good manager, good squad and good luck then it looks possible to me but certainly not easy. We can get in the playoffs and then anything can happen. Now ground work wou...

Re: Looks like they're staying...

Does Watson still work for NUFC? If so and he’s happy with his work/life balance then I think he’ll stay - the problem is that he’s obviously capable of managing at a higher level. By all accounts he is still working at Newcastle currently and Terry Mitchell I think works for the Newcastle Foundati...

Re: Darlington v Farsley 13/04/24

Amazing turn around and unbelievable form to get us out of a hole that I neve thought we would get out of. My optimism and enjoyment has been restored these last two months and excited for the summer now. Thought we would be better against the wind today and that's how it turned out, Farsley were po...

Re: Darlington v Farsley 13/04/24

I don't think talking about JG and AA is helpful in terms of the club right now. Once the season has finished then I do believe the board need to review how we ended up where we did and what can be improved in terms of those areas of managing the club. However currently all focus needs to be on thes...

Re: Chester Away All ticket

Looking at the Chester booking site then we have probably sold approx. 300 tickets and have about 200 tickets left. If you want to go then I don't think you can wait until after the game on Saturday, looks like tickets will be gone by then, unless Chester open some more which is possible as often th...

Re: Chester Away All ticket

I did think they couldn't offer us £19 seating whilst home fans have the option of £16 standing. However I must be wrong because this seems what Chester do every game. Always assumed the had to offer something at the same lower price home fans were being offered. Even if only small numbers. No. You...

Re: GOWLING OUT

Certainly an interesting read, I was surprised that even I had largely given up with Gowling by the 29th October. Watson signed the right players and got those already here playing back to their abilities. If someone had offered me 52 points to finish the season, I would have taken it. We actually h...

Re: Massive credit to Watson and the board

I don't see any chance of Young signing for us next season. He is just too good to spend a season here, I can see him looking to the division above at least.

No harm in asking but I don't see it happening.

Games that matter to us - end of season

Fixtures that will matter for us. Midweek will be interesting but it really is a ding dong affair next Saturday as the seven fighting that final place six are playing each other. Looks like it's going down to the final day but probably not for all seven. Tue 9th Apr King's Lynn v Chorley Peterboroug...

I hope the club are negotiating to terminate his contract - it is clear that he is not fit and no longer needed. Do we know if his contract ends at the end of the season? On another note we have signed Cardo Siddick who has an awful injury track record - we need to avoid signing players on long ter...

Re: 2022/23 FINANCIAL RESULTS

Not looked through fully but basically we were about £50k overspend after BTB or at least how it looks. Think we done something similar last year and again season 23/24. That buffer will disappear soon enough and we will have less to spend and very little fall back options for a bad season. We are r...

Yeah if selected looks like he is in Morocco Thu 21st March.

Currently loan ends after Peterborough Sports on Sat 16th March, would hope he can make this game. Looks like he would miss Rushall Olympic away if he signs until end of the season.

Re: Darlington v Buxton

Are they any Armstrong fan boys? The general output of playing Darlington down, went too far from Management to club board members. I think AA had just hit his limit of rebuilding teams, finding players and seeing them sold. He had done it for a good period and his energy levels had gone. From a clu...

Asante definitely needs some pace around him, which clearly Salkeld and Curry can offer in and around him. At the moment just happy we put up a fight today, hopefully that's part of what Watson brings to us.

Re: Who next?

Whitby manager Nathan Haslam if we accept relegation is now nailed on, would be my choice. Used to the division below and turning out a reasonable team on an average budget (you would think). By all accounts applied last time when Gowling was given the opportunity. Either way we are now skint and lo...

Re: GOWLING OUT

Unfortunately I think there has already been too much damage done to rescue things this season. It's clear that keeping JG won't see a sudden dramatic upturn in fortunes and it would be expecting a lot for a new man to come in and have yet another reorganisation and possibly some more recruitment a...

We need battlers in the team - back to basics would be 4-4-2 with the below involved. Hedley Griffiths Hatfield Hazel (with some support around him, not this lone striker rubbish) Burton (seems happy to mix it a bit) Gowling instead has signed a load of young kids, thrown them into the team and they...

Has there ever been a game postponed for a waterlogged pitch at BM? No. Nathan has already put pictures on twitter, the pitch looks totally fine I don’t think there has, certainly since the drainage was done a few years ago. Re: Club ownership

The club doesn't sell one share. Costs too much to process and I am assuming DFCSG would not allow small holding take up currently.

Any share sales needs to have the approval of DFCSG and to make it worthwhile would need to be a decent amount.

BTB is superb and a credit to a fan owned club. Are there other we...

So far 449 contributors have raised around £109,000. I think in the past we have had about 600 people pledging, so either we have around 150 holding back or we have lost a number of investors. I disagree that National North is our limit long term but I do admit that it's our likely limit currently. I was desperate to reach the playoffs this season and to give it a go, but was actually quite nervous how a promotion would affect us next season, we just aren't ready off the pitch or on it. A...

Yeah kind of agree with the above. What was the point? The stadium vagueness is particularly tedious. Presumably they now have to find time to concoct an excuse because the town didn’t vote as instructed. Who has to concoct an excuse, what for and why? Not sure if this is a serious point, or more a...
