Re: The bottom seven
Nice analysis. Couple of additional points: we need to keep going and finish as high as possible as we don’t know what will happen with any bankruptcies or relegation for non-footballing reasons. Maybe 4th from bottom will survive? Rushall only get 300-400, unless there is a decent away following. L...

Re: Boost the Budget
Agree. Put mine up to £30 per month from £25. Hopefully the £150k is doable if others are able to do something similar. There’s always a really fast start then it stalls a bit before picking up at the end.

Re: Banbury
I live an hour away from Banbury and still doubtful if this is on. The ground in my village is frozen with temperatures not forecast to get above -2. Concerned it may get called off with supporters who have a longer trip finding out when they have already set off. I live about half a mile from the ...

Re: New stadium funding
Perhaps we aren't planning on financing it all through borrowing? Maybe there are grants/political money available. I’m sure there will be some grant funding, in an earlier interview DJ said that Bury got about a million quid to help with Gigg Lane. That’s not the issue though, DJ does say that 7% ...

Can’t let these anti-science remarks pass with comment. Scientists don’t run the country, they provide analysis, to the best of their knowledge on the situation and predictions as to what will happen under various assumptions. Without modern science and technology, medical or otherwise, we would at ...

Re: FA Trophy travel fund raising Weymouth
Back on topic - the total is at £2230 as of noon on Friday which is very close to the lower target of £2300. There have been some large individual contributions over the last 24h with someone even chucking £200 in!
I am reasonably hopefully for the game as Weymouth's home league record is W 1 D 1 L8

Re: Ex Darlo players -unsporting behaviour?
I vaguely remember someone scoring at the Polam end after controlling a ball over the top with their arm which was really obvious to people stood on the terrace but the referee couldn’t see it. Can’t remember who it was though. Anybody remember this?

.. If 90% were in that position then herd immunity would kick in, as it is those in that 90% who are the ones carrying it between the most vulnerable as they are fit and healthy and mobile. Herd immunity effect is not established for this new virus. We don’t yet know whether the antibodies generate...

The announcement says that the police are involved so presumably we don't want to prejudice anything which might come out of that.darlo2001uk wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 5:03 pmThe club should name the person concerned.
Andy Park was named on the club website after his season-long ban - there is no reason why this person should not be.

An exile so first game of the season for me as I haven't timed my visits back to NE very well and couldn't make Gloucester due to son's birthday party. Live only 11 miles away in Banbury but never visited the Brackley ground so can't really tell you anything. Hoping for a good game and none of that ...

The other team to get back their league status (albeit a phoenix club) are Aldershot. It took them eleven years to get back to the conference national level from the same level as the Northern League Div 1. They kept retained very good crowds too. Looks like they were very successful initially with ...

Re: Tribute to the players - TUPE requirements
TUPE stands for "Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment)". See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_of_Undertakings_(Protection_of_Employment)_Regulations_2006 It is to stop company owners using administration or liquidation, followed by re-starting the company, as a means to get aroun...
