Re: NPL Breaking News
I wondered if they might suggest this. The real problem with the NPL is it extends too far South. Until theu address that (the FA that is, its due to pyramid structure) travel will always be a big issue. Last year Kings Lynn were in NPL1. I just drove from there its over 200 miles. However i think p...

Re: Distance to grounds next year
Scarborough only 67 miles away - strange decision The FA have no clue. Whatever Division they put Us in surely Scarborough should have been in the same. Is it any wonder teams from the Northern League don't want to go up... Anyway, most of them are much nearer to where I live. I reckon my mate in S...

Re: Spennymoor going up?
These spreadsheets are doing the rounds but are totally unofficial. The biggest reason to suspect they may offer promotion to Spennymoor is the fact that the FA have stated so many times only one team will go up, just like they said there would be no reprieves at Step 4 then immediately backtracked ...

Re: No programmes tonight
No its not an overreaction, even the tiniest Clubs make the effort to issue a Programme. It makes the Club look extremely bad quite frankly and the ones printed for the previous game of course could have been used with an insert, thats exactly what is normally done.

Re: Statement from the club
Travel expenses nearer the 15k mark. Clubs round here (South West) budget about 10k but the NPL has silly amounts of travelling.

Re: shafted or not
The money issue is the most worrying thing. Our gate receipts for 6 home games would be a decent budget at this level. A lot of sympathy will be lost if we start asking for more. Similarly i thought the CIC membera fot to elect officials. Not feeling engaged right now.

Agree with above sentiments re money. Surely we should be on a day to day basis making plenty of money. Our average crowds are way higher than planned. Larger than pretty much anyone has had at this level. Im concerned it looks like nobody is in charge
ATM too. Thats howthe press releases read.

Re: The title race
Provided we don't get complacent we've got it won. Spennymoor are naturally going to focus more on the Vase going forward and will certainly slip up again in the league. Personally i think this is the point. I believe Spennymoor are going to have to make some tough decisions about Vase matches - do...

Are you talking Independent or BBC? I am exiled too so don't know what they call themselves any more. Re: Hebburn v Darlington
Pools are s***, we've been an embarrassment this season it's cringeworthy that a few games were we've been actually competitive has seen an upturn in mood. Grim. But come on, the Hebburn player was actually credited with that 'goal' had the least to do with all of it, the stars were the three Darlo...

Need not to lose. We then need Spenny's Vase run to continue to the Final and watch while their fixtures pile up at some point their fantastic League form will fall off with that kind of pressure.

Re: Return to the Arena
No. horrible place. But, if the Rugby Club knocked down a couple of stands and erected some terracing (at their cost of course) before we went back then yes, as a last resort. More likely the Rugby Club will go bust before that happens. Apparently the whole thing is bankrolled by some rich bloke......

Re: Ticket Pricing at remaining away matches
Sunderland RCA is quite small though it does have a couple of stands. There will be awful car parking problems there though. They would have to provide alternative parking as the area around it has been sold to private housing and I had trouble parking there for a gate of about 100. They may be cons...

Re: Ticket Pricing at remaining away matches
Norton's "stadium" was the worst yet for me. My heart sank to my toes when I took in my surroundings yesterday. Northern League hell. It's one of the poorest set ups in both Divisions, imagine how soaked we would have got had it rained! To be fair, though I am not sure why I should , they've done a...

3 points deducted for singing "you can shove your secret shopper up your arse", no doubt !
I would hope we got 5/5 at Norton then. I heard absolutely nothing you could call offensive, either from fansnor players and managers. The only time i was offended was when i was asked for £8 at the gate....

Re: Bedlington Terriers Statement
Bet they dont do that for their Vase games where in the past they have had big crowds. They are REALLY taking the piss. They have a multi millionaire owner and a big budget. Its just greed. Full stop. Ive also not heard of any such nonsense in other leagues to the extent these clubs are doing it.

The ground fell into disrepair during their last NPL stint. They also sufferred vandalism. On my last visit a few years ago they would have had a bit of work to do just to keep the NL happy!

Re: "Safe Standing" Campaign
There will never be standing in top flight football in this country again. The Scousers have made it too much of a personal, emotive issue for any of the powers that be to dare back it. I fear you are right. Yet Hillsborough wasn't caused by terracing. Are we to ban seating because of the Bradford ...

Re: Is 4-3-3 the answer?
We won 19 games conceding the odd goal. The problem is we aren't scoring any more. I should think this isn't that hard to fix, a lot of its nerves and composure. That isn't to say the defence needs to be tighter, but I just doubt its the reason for a couple of bad results.

I can only comment based on the Twitter live feed as Im exiled, but surely its the finishing thats the problem? I must have had at least six tweets about Thompson alone missing chances, including not scoring the pen. At this level you don't worry about conceding one or two if you are creating that a...

Re: Celtic Nation HAVE Increased Admission Prices
A Club that could afford Adam Boyd's alleged wages hardly need worry about hiring a couple of extra stewards.... Mind you their normal £4 is very low for Step 5, usually you pay £5 or £6. So although the increase is not as blatant as West Auckland the principle is the same. If of course it is true.....
