This board is just so full of clowns it's frightening.
Let's even pretend that there's enough money to buy the land, and let's even pretend that Darlington CC would sell it to us.
How the fk would a new stadium be funded?
FFS. You lot are embarrassing.

FFS it's like drawing teeth. Who says the £50k will save the club.wishmaster3211 wrote:Maybe they have looked at the books and know they cant save it with 50k.
Have you read any of the discussions?

Re: The Trust - Thanks!
Lids, you think the Trusts reference to a community club is to this one? No chance. It's not about my life savings or anybody elses... it's about supporters money. Like I said, I suspect it's too late now anyway. Very sad that those entrusted with our hard earned donations were simply not up to mana...

Re: The Trust - Thanks!
Well put lids but sorry I still disagree. I distinctly get the impression that the Trust, through that sentence, The idea of a community club is very much in tune with the thinking of the Trust had already made it's mind up that the £50k will not be put into DFC. And no. I'm not suggesting that £50k...

Re: The Trust - Thanks!
How can you continue to support the Trust after the ineptitude it has shown? I know you put in many hours of work, and that is to your full credit, but to continue to back the Trust after its recent inactivity is an indication of how much it has pulled the wool over your eyes. I am not defending th...

Re: The Trust - Thanks!
In their statement they make it clear that the money is intended to be used for a new community based club.... I wonder who sees themselves sat on the board of the new club?
Bang out of order. That money was raised for THIS club, not another one.
Disgraceful.

Have the Trust turned up for these talks anyone know? Unless they have an agenda for the meeting, they won't turn up! No doubt they will post a response to today's events sometime in early March... If the trust had handed over the £50k to double up the Sizer offer would the players and manager have been sacked today?

It's no surprise the money raised for the players far outshadows that raised to "save football in Darlington" through this board. People see the £50k raised before sat doing fk all and don't want the same happening again. IMO the Trust's ineptitude, lack of communication, secrecy and dithering is wh...

The Stadium could have been self funding. Look at the Reebock for example which has a hotel built into the stand. A great idea and ours has the perfect location on the commuter run to Teesside which has few business hotels. And the traffic for hotel visitors is nothing like that seen for concerts an...

The town are sick of it.
Apart from the 1200 die hards everybody else just looks on it with abject apathy.
If it was a dog it'd have been put down years ago.
Anything that's to be done will have to be through the supporters alone.

We do need to start again, i know the club is still limping and it has players there that need help, but i'm sure most can find alternative employment. One of the reasons the club are in this state. I think we have the most delusional set of supporters in the land. How the fk are the players gonna ...

Most of the true stories of Reynolds reign can't be told for legal reasons. Dave Hodgeson could tell you things that would make your hair curl. And Reynolds once phoned Whitey to try and sign him and offered him £200 a week. Alan told him to speak to his agent and Reynolds retorted that it was good ...

Asked Phil Preston and he told me that it was because of "demand". Is this because some idiots post on here because they have to wait for more than 30 seconds when they turn up at 2.30. ?? Solution is to offer a deal on, that if you buy 2 pints before 2.15, then you get them cheaper - then you get ...

Assuming we have a tighter budget next year and that davey has a chance to look at players that will be released in the next few weeks, then unfortunately, we should not keep White. Yes he always gives 110%, but also gets booked a lot. We need to sign a couple of younger centre backs with potential...

Good enough for them. Just about the worst set of supporters I've ever met. Deluded is the best of their traits. They think they have a right to top flight football and I suspect that's why they were so easily conned. They have a poisonous core that have hounded out over the years decent players and...

Tall order indeed.... especially taking into account suspensions and injuries to a threadbare squad.
