Re: Spennymoor Away

They are all over social media desperately trying to smear us with the fact that there was plenty of space down that far end, with photos 'proving' their point. They're saying that Darlo fans deliberately overcrowded that area. The fact that MyOpinion debunks this will not matter a jot to them. And...

Re: Spennymoor Away

My fear is due to yesterday next time we play them there. Play offs? you never know that they will now give us only 500 tickets. The problem wasnt lack of ticketing but simply not giving us a proper section. We should have been given most of the south terrace behind the goal with a gap stewarded bet...

I can see St Ives away then! with a defeat no prize money and us actually making a loss what with the coach trip down and hardly any attendence to share the gate money.

no disrespect for consett but Id rather get them at home in the next round, at least a decent gate and the best chance of progressing

Re: blackwell meadows work !!

My view is quite simple, forget BM it is never going to work in the short term or the long term i.e. it will never be ready for ages and then when/if it is will be very basic and will not allow us to move up the leagues. The land does not allow us to build an infrastructure big enough to support a c...

Re: blackwell meadows work !!

I'll be wrong when we actually play a game at Blackwell! lets not get carried away. My preferred option is that the club and Mowden and the council should be working together to make something out of the arena for a long term future. I can assure you I'm not seeking 'victim' status.

By the way I'm 41 and have I slated the club or its volunteers etc. I've purely stated that I dont see a long term future in Blackwell Meadows, yep its great to be back in darlo b...

Re: blackwell meadows work !!

I wont believe it till actually happens, we've had statements like this for about the last 2 years. To be honest I'm dispointed in this news as that means we will never get in the football league. Before anyone jumps in I'm not saying we have any divine right to be a league club and that we would ge...

Re: blackwell meadows work !!

If people think we will ever be playing at Blackwell Meadows it's not going to happen. The club have been trying to get a short term lease at the arena and also looking to try and get a long term lease at the arena as well if the Blackwell plans were to fall apart in the next few weeks

Big decision for Chandler, suppose South Shields home town club, big crowds decent money, not having to travel round the country might sway it

No rain forecast at Bishop all week so I'm assuming we will be playing there ? any plans for it being all ticket as potentially we could be champions at the end of the match ?

Re: Gate prices going up next season

No problem with the prices going up. I would expect we would need to pay higher wages, travel costs, etc to compete in a higher league. Look at the admission prices for other teams Worcester City £13, Telford £14, Guisely £15 so I'd say £12 for us if more than fair. Plus think of the savings Darlo b...

Was Hereford to do with being still classed as the same club? etc and us not. Just thought Grimsby would have attracted decent crowd we had over 5000 for our first leg and Grimsby are doing well in the league

Anyone see they only had 2447 on Saturday at home for the second leg. Considering they were 90minutes from Wembley, thought they would have had 5 or 6000

The attendences have excellent all season and growing. The owner is trying to build something and isnt in it for the money. Simply to give something back to the community with a long term plan. He has done the ground up, refurbished the function room and bar to a high standard. I live in the area an...

I see Mowden Park are struggling on the field now and there is never a mention in the Echo about the crowds at the Arena any more. Previously they used to be always printing "in front of a crowd of 1,000" or "900" or "700". It's now gone very quiet on that front so I suspect that has fallen off con...

Adam Rundles dad was the guy behind the bar when we played them in the Northern League. Hard to believe that Adam Rundle is still only 31 seems to have been around forever! How long is the work expected to take to get the ground ready once it actually starts?. Is it actually planned to moved there during next season or to wait till the start of 2016-17 season. To me it would be an anti climax moving during the season especially if we having a poor season. Apologies if ...
